Drop to 22 AD.
At this point, I'm just hoping he drops to #10.. I think if he does, Jerry will make a play to go get him..

There's no question that Peterson wants to be a Cowboy. He's stated that he's always wished to be a Cowboy as a kid in every interview. Makes me wonder if his people are throwing this info out there to force a slide into a territory that is worth trading for. I hope it works if that's what they're tryin to do.

Not as worrisome as a knee injury, but this kid seems awfully injury-prone.

Peterson is GREAT, when he's healthy. Guy has missed alot of games due to injury. I don't know, it's those little gnagging injuries that keep occuring to players that wear them down.

PETERSON REPORT REDUCES HEAT ON CAA

On the same day that it was first disclosed that quarterback/CAA client Brady Quinn has received a contract offer from the Raiders to become the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, Don Banks of SI.com reports that running back/CAA client Adrian Peterson re-injured his collarbone in the Fiesta Bowl, and that he'll miss all of the offseason workouts of the team that drafts him.

All 32 teams have known about the re-injury since the scouting combine in February. So why did it come out now, on the same day that it was first reported that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell wants to clamp down on breaches of confidentiality?

Here's our theory/hypothesis/idea we yanked from our anal cleft: We think that, with the Browns widely believed to be choosing between CAA clients Quinn and Peterson at No. 3, the well-timed disclosure was made by CAA to help take steam out of talk of conflicts of interest and other unsavory matters.

In light of Banks' report, it's now obvious that Peterson won't be drafted at No. 3. And with coaches installing much of the offense and defense in the offseason program, Peterson's absence will definitely impact preparations for his rookie season.

Though Banks thinks he won't get past No. 10 to Houston, we think this could drop him to the Bills at No. 12.

One thing the mediots and others are forgetting is that the TEAMs have known about this for over 2 months. They have had time to have their doctors research the situation and let them know how serious it is. Word is starting to come out that not many teams really are worried- at least not the teams that are interersted in him. He cannot do full contact for a couple of months, but untill TC in late July you are not doing that. It is NOT a big deal as regards preparation for a new season, even if you are putting in a new system. This is a case of total over reaction on some parts; a little like the shin splint thing with Branch. The teams that WANT him - this will make no real difference.

Do we really want this kid with a injury risk? Dang, he is such a talent.

Why is it when people around here talk about AP(ankle, collarbone) he's injury prone but when they talk about JJ (ankle, shoulder blade)it was just freak injuries that could happen to anyone?

I agree. I would be concerned if we were talking about some degenerative medical issue but what I have seen with AD is these are fairly typical football injuries. Before anyone says something while AP is Peterson initials his nickname is AD (All Day)

what if we find a way to get peterson like the deal to buffalo costing us 2 and a 4 and we keep jones.

then peterson rests until he is fully healthy and then try and move jones before the week 6 deadline.

Seems risky to me but hey its a thought.

I wonder if the medical concerns might frighten Buffalo, given their recent failure with McGahee, who was a major disappointment for a first round back. They really might be looking defense, specifically CB and LB, to replace the recently lost pieces.

He's just gotta get by Houston. That's the only chance we got. :D

Yeah he gets by Houston we have to trade with San Fran. No way Buffalo passes on Adrian.

I think that would be tough to do. San francisco supposedly loves willis. Buffalo has visited with willis and they like him too.

so san francisco probably doesnt want to be behind buffalo.

He's not even Stephen Jackson.:D

Now that hurts.

I was totally wrong on Steven Jackson. He's proven to be a special player. We passed on a special player, traded down and got a good player that said he was scared to fumble.

I laugh every time I hear someone say Parcells held him back or made him run scared. I didn't buy Tony Dorsett's logic either.

Julius Jones better have an All Pro season for us to even consider giving him a long term contract IMHO.

Wouldn't Tony D be a lot more knowledgable about running the ball then you are?

Some people put them both in the same category as far as being injury prone. I do. The difference is that Julius is already in the NFL and Peterson is not. More games, bigger hits. It is a concern for both players. Julius finally managed to get through a season and perhaps Adrian will once he joins the NFL.

I don't think the CJ info was released to drive his stock down. It was just a fact reported (by sports illustrated I think).

I agree this AP info COULD be BS released just to drive his stock down. Hell, it could be true but still released just to drive his stock down. The CJ info wasn't intended to drive his stock down. It hasn't driven his stock down (nor should it).

SI may have been just reporting facts, but whomever leaked that info to SI may have had an agenda. I agree that it really should be a non-factor.
