This Team took a real gut punch with the loss of Diggs last week.
How were they going to respond would reveal a lot about the toughness, character, and mental makeup of this team.
They responded by not showing up to play, especially on defense.

Now I know that this is just one game, but sometimes one game can give s strong indicator of a teams mental toughness and they came up small.

This has me really concerned about the rest of the season.
This team is as talented as any other in the NFC.

But the 49ers and Eagles are much stronger mentally and have a real edge over the Cowboys in this department.

I will root hard and hope for the best the rest of the season, but have lowered my expectations significantly for this team.

Anyone deluding themselves into thinking we’re a championship favorite with Dak at QB and a razor thin O-line is a bit naive. Even if the season had gone perfectly on defense, this offense just doesn’t have it.
I know a lot of us were concerned about our lack of free agency involvement in obtaining Oline depth.

This overreaction on here is laughable. One week we are an all-time great team and on our way to the super bowl and the next we are terrible and might not make the playoffs.
Adversity reveals character - that is a nice saying. Character is also one's willingness to prepare and play the same regardless of your opponent.
This team and some of its fan base totally took this game for granted. Period. There is no argument in that. I bet the OL guys sitting on the sidelines would have played if this game was against a division opponent or the 49ers.

Another year of the same stuff.

Seems the defense is great against below average OLs, and average against slightly above average or better OLs. If AZ can gash them with cutback runs, good luck vs SF and Philly. Yet another front running team that can’t handle adversity. They can’t play from behind the last 3 seasons unless it’s a one possession game n the 3rd quarter vs the Giants. Zero 4th quarter comebacks in 21, 22 and now 23. They choke on both offense and defense when behind a good team (or in yesterday’s case, a bad team). They’re not special. I’ll do my best enjoy the journey, but they’re ultimately going nowhere meaningful.

Thanks for the feedback.
We all do tend to overreact because we are passionate about our team.
I do see the lack of effort yesterday as a major red flag.

I am afraid you are spot on...
The 2 games to start the season gave me false hope.
We are what we are...

Character is a direct reflection of leadership. For us, our GM/owner doesn't know how to lead so there you go...

Dissapointing seeing the effort yesterday, way too many blown assignments and they werent prepared defensively. On offense the backup oline played admirably, thought they were quite good in the run game, not as good at pass protection.

Cowboys moved the ball well to the 10 yard line then no one seemed to want to make a play or get open inside the 10. Had they converted 2 more attempts like they had in prior years this game would have had a different outcome.

Coaches have 2 priorities this week.

1) Figure out and solve what went wrong inside the 10.
2) Figure out and solve why the team looked so unprepared to stop counter runs. Reminded me of the Rams playoff game a few years ago.

I get super upset and it ruins the following week when they lose. I totally understand. There is something wrong with this organization as whole when year after year we see the same things over and over again expecting different results.

Adversity reveals incompetence. We are going nowhere with Dak. McCarthy will be gone after this year as well. We are stuck with Dak.

I think it starts at the top and trickles down to the coaches and players...

How has this team dealt with adversity in the past? Why would this year be different? Based on what evidence?

Watch the Eagles tonight.
