Everyone here had their "baptism" moment - the moment they became true and devoted fans of our beloved Cowboys.
My baptism occurred for me at Superbowl X (at the age of 10). That was one of the most heartbreaking football games that I've ever watched and yet, I can't remember being more proud of the underdog Cowboys and the fight they put up against the heavily favored Steelers. And had it not been but for a few bad breaks that happened to Dallas in the 4th qtr, the game would have been ours - a HUGE upset in the making and one for the ages. But, sadly, as the final seconds were ticking off and Staubach was giving it his all to bring us back, the Cowboys finally ran out of gas as their Cinderella season came to a screeching halt. I don't think I ever cried as hard as I did over a Cowboys' loss since this one.
And with that, I was forever entrenched a Cowboys fan from that point onward...
