I love how these excuses come after having a good regular season.

No, he's not elite. Elite QBs don't allow their teams to lose 45-7 in the postseason.

But elite QBs get their undermanned teams to the Championship Game. Just saying. :)

They could have gotten Brady hurt there. Still, a part of me likes the fact that they play until the game is over. We've seen what happens too many times when teams take their feet off the throttle.

I agree, but when it comes to the Patriots and Belichick in particular, he's such an arrogant individual and unlikable figure, it's hard to root for them...

True. But they said the same about Jimmy Johnson. And Belichick sought counsel from Jimmy when he became coach of the Patriots.

No one who plays for Pete Carroll should ever be described as "likable".

Honestly, I can't say I really dislike anyone on the Seahawks. I hate their fans, sure, but as far as players go, I have no hate now that Golden Tate is gone.

I'd love to have a guy like Sherman on the Boys. He's what the defense needs imho.

I agree with him, in a sense. But I think Brady and Belichick have something to prove. And we saw today that you can shut the Seahawks offense down.
I think it's going to be a good Super Bowl, particularly since Belichick has two weeks to prepare for the game.

The passing offense yes, but the Seahawks running game wasn't shut down.

Truth be told I am rooting for the Patriots.

Spygate disappointed me, however, in general I believe Belichek is probably in the top 2 coaches of all time depending where you want to rank Lombardi. I also think Tom Brady is nearing the point where more times that not I'd find myself arguing he is the GOAT over Montana.

All that is IF they win the Superbowl.

He's got a little too much Cutler in him to be considered "elite" yet.

Well, the running game didn't matter as much with Seattle in a deficit. The Packers just went full-blown stupid and decided to pass instead of run and never could get that decisive touchdown instead of field goals. That opened the game back up for Seattle to use its running game.

I lost respect for Belichick when they were caught filming other teams practices, he's a great coach, there's no doubt about that, one of thee best of all time but his post game press conferences are ridiculous and after he ran off the field after losing the perfect season to the Giants in the Superbowl, I kind of root against him..

Well, I'm not rooting for either team. I like Brady as a quarterback and as a competitor, so I don't care if the Patriots win. I like Russell Wilson, but I won't be upset if Seattle loses.
Maybe I'm getting older, but I just don't harbor the same hatred I had for teams like I used to. Now, if a team beats the Cowboys then talks major smack, I might be a bit more upset and want revenge.
But even after the Packers beat the Cowboys, at first I was against the Packers, then when they were beating the Seahawks, I was for them. Then after they lose, I was indifferent.

194 yds, 5.5 average, and 2 td's. It mattered somewhat I'd say.

I'll be rooting for a great game, primarily that's what I hope for every game I watch... but I will be hoping for the Seahawk's just a little more..

Doesn't always happen but two years in a row we see both #1 seeds make it to the Super Bowl. Makes a big difference only having to win two games (with at least one at home) instead of three. I suspect we will have to break through and get a bye if we want to really have a shot.

Yes, it matter after they closed the margin. Those two TDs came AFTER the Seahawks scored their first touchdown.
When the Packers got up 16-0, the running game really wasn't that effective. After they closed the margin, it opened Seattle's running game back up.

so I guess Jim Kelly isn't an elite quarterback then, he lost four Superbowl games in a row, losing 52-17 under your theory, right??

1. You are talking about a guy who went to 4 Super Bowls in row and comparing him to a guy who has never went past the AFC title game.
2. Kelly threw 7 passes that 52-17 game. Reich played most of that game. So no, Reich is not elite.

I chuckle about how so much defense of a QB who has 9 TDs and 12 picks in the playoffs, yet he is elite. Is he bad? Of course not. But let the kid actually accomplish something before calling him elite.

He's 2nd tier just like Romo, Rivers and those likes. Would you call Phillip Rivers elite? Because that is what Luck is at this point. Rivers also went to an AFC title game early in his career and had playoff success. Then he tailed off.

So sorry if I don't buy the Luck hype yet in regards to how the media portrays him.

He does not belong with the elite QBs yet. Give it time to play out and maybe he will.

The Pats are great BUT man that AFC East hasn't really been much during the Belichick/Brady Era. I'm no Romo apologist but he's had to face McNabb and Eli through most of his career in the NFC East. Brady has gone against the likes of Chad Pennington, Mark Sanchez, and whoever the Bills/Dolphins threw out there for 6 games a season
