After 6 games...various thoughts

yeah but he was lousy last yr & lousy in TC...its no surprise to me they ST are still bad

on the other hand, Phillips was hired almost solely because of what he could do for the defense...we've invested a ton of high draft picks and cap money on that side of the ball, and the defense is still incapable of winning a game

hence, worst coaching job

this why i'm starting to think it's the players and not the coaches....

I don't think the coaching is a huge problem but Garrett is definitely still learning and some of the players appear to go to sleep at times. The coaches need to get the most out of them. The STs play is horrible and some of that is on the coaches, too. OTOH, the players still have to block and tackle.

still scratching my head as to how he (Read) still has a job given the points you made about last season as well as the low tolerance for failure in the cowboys' FO

Canty and Henry have to rank as disappointments. Henry's days as a top corner seem to be waning. He displayed no ability to cover speedy midgets like Randle -El, who spun him around like a top, nor big wideouts like Fitzgerald or Breaston, who beat him repeatedly. What's left? Slow footed tight ends?
