That's glass half full optimism right there. Too much pessimism going around.
Exactly! Too much doom and gloom around here. We can definitely go 0-17 and get the #1 pick over all.

You just need a little faith!

Trust Jerry and the process!

Optimistic?

Our 82 year old GM last won a divisional playoff game when he was 53. His 61 year old Executive VP son qualified for his job at birth and thinks the salary cap is a real bummer to work with. Together they are the most arrogant, lazy front office in sports.

So after our 82 year old GM hired his 6th head coach since we last won a divisional playoff game…no I am not optimistic about this year.

I hope we do well of course. Do I honestly believe somehow we are either good or lucky? No. Put another way, “I will believe it when it happens.”

Emphasis on lazy.

Fringe playoff team who might squeak in a wild card.

Not sure a group of rookies can carry them to the next level

Depends on a lot of stuff yet TBD.

Do they buy in to Schotty’s message? Does he call the offense well?
Is Eberflus good?
Do we draft Jeanty or a JAG?

Lots of variables

For his team to compete it would have to hit instant starters with every draft pick, have career years from every highly paid player, and still get extremely lucky all just for a chance to make the playoffs. They brought in jags just so they aren't forced to draft a jag for any specific spot. That isn't making the team better

TOO SOON POLL but this offseason does have a different feel than last offseason that's all I can say..

TBD we are 5 months until the start of the season the draft and FA still ongoing ..so poll should have an indifferent option ie wait and see MORE.

Can't say that I believe. I will say that I want to believe. I think we will go through growing pains and look like the old Tampa Bay Buccaneers before we get right (lol) J/k. Who knows what or how we are gonna perform. I will sit right back and cheer the team that Jerry brings forth. Lots of changes have been made. Let's Go!

We won’t have any idea as to whether these changes will be effective until the team gets a few regular season games under their belt.
Part of the problem with this team is that they are told they’re Super Bowl contenders during TC and pre-season; then go out and soil the bed during the later part of regular season and Wildcard playoffs.
I have a very strong idea they will have little to no impact and I don't need to wait and see anything.

Absolutely not, why would I expect this decade, oops excuse me, this year be any different than any other.

I'm looking forward to any changes and differences this year, but optimistic? As far as going deep in the playoffs? No way.

But that's not because of the coaches. That's because we're in QB purgatory plus the roster has too many holes. And there's no light at the end of that tunnel.

I'm optimistic that the team is going to have a different direction bc i actually like the coaching changes....

That being said, unless they kill the draft or trade micha and get a lot of picks, there is no way they can fill all the holes.

I think the end result is a 6-11 record and a top 10 pick in 2026, i also think dak had another season ending injury and they part with him after this year bc he simply can't play anymore...

Couldn't have said everything better myself. Until Jerry and son aren't running the team, we are where we are...

Am I optimistic about the upcoming season? Yes. I have felt and will always feel about every season in a positive way. The Dallas Cowboys are my only favorite NFL team. I will always want to see them play.

For me, the poll question is not specific enough for that reason. My answer would be no if the question was 'Are you optimistic the coaching changes and free agency will translate into a postseason berth and serious playoff run this season?' Serious, as in pre-1996 serious.

So, my vote will be no by default. That said, I remain interested in seeing whatever the Mad Genius will sign-off on in thirty-four days. Maybe the war room cam will show Brian Schottenheimer signing in his throne chair? Nah. Jerry Jones is still breathing, so that ain't happening next month...
