After hearing Kitna about Bradie James, Blitzes

I think carpenter is destined to be a sam linebacker in a 4-3

I think ayodele played the strong side for jacksonville, not inside.

I dont think we have a real inside backer for a 4-3 right now. that is a scary thought to me.

Whats everyone's priority when it comes down to better players or better DC?

me personally I would like to stay the 3-4 course and find more players that fit. It takes time. You cant just mix and match and get results. Given time I think this could work really well.

I really like ware standing up and moving around. That is where I would like to see him stay.

I agree.

The 3-4 can be very scary to offenses.

Plus like you said, we got Ware who can move around.

I would prefer him moving around rather than just rushing 100% of the time from a 4-3 DE.

lol...you can say that again.

i jumped out of my seat in the stadium last week when carpenter shot the gap and had a big sack.....

woops...I mean we cant expect that much from one of our linebackers not named ware.

That is a sack that dat would have made. That would have been a huge play.

He made up for it though by promptly dropping an interception a few plays later! He wanted to join the dropped interception club that included roy williams and anthony henry!

what interception did he drop? you mean the one where he jumped that sideline route? he didn't drop that int....he jumped, extended and the ball went off his fingertips......he made a heck of a play just getting his hands on the ball....

Yes He did. I just thought he had a shot at the pick. That would have been a big play.

Just one of many missed big plays by the defense that could have changed the perception of the defense.

in some way that is why it is kind of odd kitna saying the things he did. The williams pick and touchdown should have stood. Henry should have picked him in the end zone, roy williams should have picked him in the end zone also.

had we made those plays and newman not muffed the punt, he wouldnt have had much to say because he would have lost and had lopsided negative numbers on the day.

Instead we missed opportunities and we lost. In turn kitna gets to say what he wants.

Akin played inside in JAX and wasnt Carps natural position inside?.

Akin Ayodele was Jacksonvilles WLB. Jaguars had Mike Peterson and MLB and Daryll Smith at SLB. Ayodele is also a former college DE.

Thanks.

Found that out an hour or go by someone else.

But I will ask you for a 2nd opinion in the future if I need it.

I am sure everyone can remember him having a free shot on Eli Manning in the second Giants game and he completely blew an easy trap and Manning just stepped to one side and tossed a touchdown.

My recollection is a little different.. are you saying he wasnt trying?

It looked to me like he had him in his sights and was tunneled into Eli direction and Eli sidestepped... It looked to me like he REALLY wanted to get Manning

if dallas is thinking switch. give odell thurman a incentive contract. and it dallas stays in a 3-4 donnie edwards should be in dallas. they'll have to eat bradies contract no matter what so u just have to move on

Why they don't work seem to be lot due to our MLBs. I thought maybe I was wrong, but this past game, I saw Bradie James, come on blitz and as soon as he met the lineman, he just stopped pretty much. He didn't try to get through or push the lineman back.

I think Bradie James really mailed it after he go the money maybe.
Now we know for sure, who Newman was talking about. I guess in draft it will LB heavy draft possibly again. Ugh!

I don't think he has been dogging it. I just think he sucks. He's too slow and doesn't have the football smarts to reconize and anticipate plays before it happens. A quality that is very important to be a good MLB.

Our defense has suffered mightily from the loss of Shanle and Fujita, and our front seven hasn't been the same. It's no coincidence that NO is the #2 seed in the NFC. They have playmakers on defense that we foolishly gave away.

Munchis.....Out!!!!

It's hilarious that we all felt so good about our LB depth and now we are looking for answers.

It's hard to understand why the positions this team places so much focus upon continue to be so underwhelming.

PR/KR, OL, LB, TE, FS :ralph:

calling the defensive plays, James must be the smartest guy on the defense...he is the quarterback of the defense, the cornerstone...like the center position on offense...i'll use a chess analogy here...if one piece stands poorly, the entire game stands poorly...just look at the defense over the past four weeks...this is disturbing...Kitna described him on game film as looking clueless...and this coincides with the quote by Ferguson after the Eagles debacle, where he stated that at times, the defense was unaware of DOWN AND DISTANCE...absolutely frightful in a game for a division title...some heads should roll this off-season.:(

It is a mess and no wonder Payton knew what to do against us and exposed it to the world. More work needed on the defense for another offseason.
