That's a real stretch. Many of us were Cowboys fans long before Jerry bought the team. I also think many of Jerry's detractors, like myself, don't necessarily see Jerry as "garbage". Yes we see Jerry as an incompetent GM, even a narcisist. But not garbage. I reserve that for far worse people.
Garbage fits.

Old Boy, JJ bought the team 35 years ago. The statute of Cowboys' past has expired. Those days are longggg gone. If we're still rooting for the Star because of their culture and lore that long ago, yet we hate what the owner stands for today, we still need to look in the mirror. That's called being gluttoned for punishment, and JJ's always so happy to exploit our allegiance.

But yes, like you, I see Jerry as simply incompetent, and of course he's a narcissist. Garbage? Not as a person. He's just wealthy and wants full control of the organization that offers him this wealth. I understand that. He can't let go, he wants to pull the strings, because he wants the limelight and credit.

And quite honestly, the issues we have with Jerry now are different than they were 15 years ago, when most fans thought he overspent too much on free agency stars. Oh, the irony...

I used to think he was just an incompetent narcissist. After treating some radio hosts jobs for asking him questions I put him right in the dumpster person category.

He's a garbage human being and there several stories that back this up including the recent threatening of man's livelihood for daring to ask a relevant question.

The Chiefs would not be trading Micah when he's got Chris Jones wreaking havoc on the interior line. That defense would be insane.
I meant when they had 2 guys making top of market deals they made the hard decision to move on from an 3rd even though it was a top jersey seller. Has nothing to do with how Micah fits on the Chiefs.

He showed his true colors with Greg Hardy. He achieved horrible person status with the lawsuit involving his biological child.

This rant shows he needs to be put down before he intentionally damages more people’s lives. Nothing to do with football.

The football incompetence by the way the organization handles contracts is just the cherry on top

What’s weird is supposedly his wife is a really nice lady. She must have some paperwork that prevents her from taking him to the cleaners. That and the fact they’re probably too old to go through a divorce now.

The next couple of seasons will be very painful to be a Cowboys fan. Hopefully, it's in the service of eventual change, but the pair in charge seem to be uniquely immune to reality, humility and common sense, so who knows.
maybe it's just me, but so far this seasons feels far, far worse than any others in the last 20-something seasons.

2015's 4-12 didn't feel this bad.

Folks remember the 5-11 seasons in the early 00s? We knew those teams were bad and Aikman has just retired. so the sense of rebuilding was there.

not this year though. this season feels demoralizing... maybe because it's 25 years later now and ugh.

i said i was rooting for 0-17 before he season even start

i saw this coming and u shoudl all be rooting for it too

jerry and stephen need a wake up call and they are getting it now i hope the cowboys keep losing and it get worse and worse for them

let it get real ugly that is the only chance to ever fix any thing and even then it is like 1% chance with dumb and dumber i mean jerry and stephen
I don’t know what bothers me worse. Jerry, or people who think that Jerry will change based upon a losing season. Or even based off an embarrassing season. So you end up with the worst of both worlds .You say Jerry’s a Narcissist. A narcissist is also someone who enjoys the misery of others.

To be fair, most athletes cheat and have a bunch of side chicks. They are also masters of playing the victim. Just because Jerry is a disgusting human being, doesn’t by default make the “other party”, victims.

The signing of Dak to this contract to me was more, this guy is not worth defending from a purely football sense, his incompetency knows no bounds. It’s the threatening the radio folks with their jobs that said to me, this guy is despicable.

When Dak was re-signed, this team was doomed not only for this season, but for years to come. It's getting really hard to root for the Cowboys.
Yup. And I think of all the media clowns and the pro-Dak crowd here saying how we just HAD to lock him up to secure our future!!! Well, here is your future--bloated and terrible contracts and zero free agency, and we are stuck with it for years now, because unlike other NFL teams that are forced into making big changes after making big changes (Denver), this team will double-down on the stupidity until the contracts run out, when we're all 4-5 years older. How many of us will still be here, I wonder?
