hmm. i saw gurode miss most of the blocks and bigg only a couple of plays. i'll rewatch, but usually i saw him either push his guy forward or at a standstill against dt john mccargo. that guy played really well. lined up on kozier or davis.

colombo's problem was he didn't get a push forward.

thought flozell did pretty good going against schobel. that guy is one of the better pass rushers in the league.

pass protection was good. tony had plenty of time.

Wade said on the Pats media call that Colombo has gotten a game ball two out of the five weeks for being the best player on the offensive line.

He's not that impressive-looking, but he usually gets the job done pretty well.

I don't know what the people calling out Colombo are watching, against the Bills, which seems to be the game everyone is pointing to as the, "look, look, see? he sucks" game, Chris Kelsay applied maybe 2 pressures against Romo, and one was when Romo ran to his side on that INT tip and catch TD

watch Colombo's foot-work against the pass-rush, it's impeccable, he fires back quickly and is always moving his feet perfectly, it's run-blocking where he struggles at, and I don't know why, he's a physical player, but for some reason it hasn't translated to that facet of blocking

and Ice, any QB who senses the pass-rush and avoids it, even if they just step up in the pocket or side-step it, ala Peyton Manning, aids the pass-blocking, just being aware of your surroundings, getting out of the way, and getting rid of the ball quickly does the trick
