100% correct.

Vinage Drew Bledsoe. Give up the short completion in order to try hitting the longer one no matter what the coverage is like.

That play to Jones in the flat, covered by a LB (bye bye LB) would have gained some decent yardage...and yep, it's not as if Johnson was remotely open.

Well, it looks like this season is going to be "Testaverde; The Sequel"...but hey, right now, Bledsoe gives us the best chance to win. :puke:

You're going to start seeing folks get off the "Bledsoe gives us the best chance to win" bandwagon. :)

Yeah he was pressured a lot. But he didn't move at all. He could simply have moved left or right a little and would have had more time to throw. The defense knows he will be in the same place in the pocket everytime, which makes it much easier for them. I think he will suck this year. He can only succeed in a maximum protection offense, and still would probably do bad.

he did move on some of the plays, and got creamed

the pass protection for him was horrendous...

Some plays, yeah, he had no shot at all to do anything. But there were some plays where he just stood there slapping the ball. Nobody would have done good playing behind that o-line in the first quarter, but u have to try and move sometimes.

cant tell on every play, but it wasnt like he had alot of open guys either...

but his biggest downfall was the pass protection

Sad thing is that it won't matter until Bill gets off that bandwagon. Playing Vinny last year after we were eliminated from the playoffs was one of the stupidest things Bill has ever done. I honestly think he is a great coach but sometimes his stubborness causes him to make bad decisions. If Bledsoe stinks it up one of the "kids" should play.

Yeah right. A few plays he didn't have time to even set his feet. I'm glad to see you have already figured this out after watching an internet video. Why, you are a regular football genius. To think we pay Bill Parcells huge amounts of money, and he still doesn't know what you know.

We need to contact Jerry Jones and tell him what you have discovered, before it's too late.
16-16??? Ya he knows what he is doing...

And that's what burns my butt about Parcells.

When he arrived here, he told Woodson that no matter who you are, sooner or later you have to prove you can still get the job done.

Yet, Bledsoe is handed the job and regardless of his performance, he'll start the entire season.

I think it might be time to go to the top of Texas Stadium with one of those anvils that Wiley Coyote used to buy from the ACME company.

You're kidding right?

Obviously you don't know Bledsoe's MO.

The man lives for the deep pass... anything over 15 yards.

"Scare people with deep completions"... give me a break. That's how defenses have stopped this yay-who for the past 2 1/2 seasons-- take away the deep pass and force the SOB to check down, which of course he refuses to do.

Take away the deep pass and blitz Bledsoe up the middle--- that's the key to beating him.

You want people to "respect" the passing game? Then make Bledsoe do what defenses are ALWAYS going to give him-- the stuff 10 yards and in. But making Drew Bledsoe do that is like trying to make Nors the king of the toastmasters-- it ain't gonna happen!

You folks had better get a better idea of what Drew Bledsoe is all about.
You got it,fellow NYer and we saw the same thing..Like Troy said on one of his passes,he was lookin to throw down field had his mind made up..If he has to drive the bus like Bill wants him to do ,then thats what will happen,he'll get happy and throw deep when ever he can cause he knows the chances he'll get too are slim..Didnt in Buffalo..

Guys, while Bledsoe sucked last night, he can throw with the best of them. God knows he has a better arm than anyone we've had here in a while....
Off the bench Romo throws one of the hardest passes to throw in the NFL,on his first play..Didnt see that from Bledsoe...

Does anyone know who Bledsoe was gunning for when he was sacked by Berry? He looked like he was going to throw and was going through the motions but suddenly went gun shy. It's stuff like that, that worries me, because it sort of goes with his rep of being a has-been.

Don't disagree. But I think, in fairness, that Bledsoe did a credible job of running the kind of game control offense you're looking for during Buffalo's 9-2 run at the end of last season (defense, McGahee and outstanding special teams did the rest). Doubtless that's what Bill saw when he reviewed the tapes, and that's why he's here.

In the end, if Bledsoe's gun slinging ways can't be controlled, the failing will be Bill's. Everyone understands what Bledsoe's tendencies are. Bill's just betting that he can control them. And he has every incentive to make sure he does, with the memory of last year, in which Bill relied too much (by his own admission) on airing it out, still fresh in his mind.
