Yeah he was pressured a lot. But he didn't move at all. He could simply have moved left or right a little and would have had more time to throw. The defense knows he will be in the same place in the pocket everytime, which makes it much easier for them. I think he will suck this year. He can only succeed in a maximum protection offense, and still would probably do bad.

Bledsoe might not be mobile, but he can slap the hell out of a football before shotputting it into the air.

Yeah right. A few plays he didn't have time to even set his feet. I'm glad to see you have already figured this out after watching an internet video. Why, you are a regular football genius. To think we pay Bill Parcells huge amounts of money, and he still doesn't know what you know.

We need to contact Jerry Jones and tell him what you have discovered, before it's too late.

If Parcells wasnt the HCI betcha someone would start a poll of "when will Bledsoe get replaced"

But, after watching him stick with VT the way he did last year...all bets are off

Some plays, yeah, he had no shot at all to do anything. But there were some plays where he just stood there slapping the ball. Nobody would have done good playing behind that o-line in the first quarter, but u have to try and move sometimes.

i guess taking sacks is better than throwing a ridiculous amount of INTs, which is what every QB since Aikman has done. I thought Q set the INT in a season bar high enough that no one would reach, yet VT dug deep and was able to toss like 21 last year.
Seriously though, Bledsoe is going to have to scare some people with some deep completions and prove himself a bit before we start seeing less than 8 defenders near the LoS to stop JJ. I don't think anyone is going to be respect our passing game until we force them to.

You're kidding right?

Obviously you don't know Bledsoe's MO.

The man lives for the deep pass... anything over 15 yards.

"Scare people with deep completions"... give me a break. That's how defenses have stopped this yay-who for the past 2 1/2 seasons-- take away the deep pass and force the SOB to check down, which of course he refuses to do.

Take away the deep pass and blitz Bledsoe up the middle--- that's the key to beating him.

You want people to "respect" the passing game? Then make Bledsoe do what defenses are ALWAYS going to give him-- the stuff 10 yards and in. But making Drew Bledsoe do that is like trying to make Nors the king of the toastmasters-- it ain't gonna happen!

You folks had better get a better idea of what Drew Bledsoe is all about.

On the Nosey, MW.

Take a look at the first quarter play at around the 5:40 mark (2nd and 10) Julius Jones releases into the flat and is open even before the LB drops back...Bledsoe has a clear shot at Jones, wide open, no one standing between the two...instead he forces the ball downfield to Keyshawn who was covered like a blanket.

Just to clarify the ineptitude. Vinny "only" had 20. Q had 21 :bang2:

Of course picks were down across the board because of the contact rules... So we were probably actually worse off last year.

Guys, while Bledsoe sucked last night, he can throw with the best of them. God knows he has a better arm than anyone we've had here in a while....

I'll never have a quibble about Bledsoe's arm... never.

It's his damn head that causes most of his problem. The grey matter between his ears... the man just misfires on synapse here & there.

100% correct.

Vinage Drew Bledsoe. Give up the short completion in order to try hitting the longer one no matter what the coverage is like.
