I know that many fans/prognosticators are predicting/wishing we lose but how do you think your or their opinion will change after we win on Sunday.

Personally, I hope they make excuses for the pigeons similar to the types of excuses that the mediots made for the iggles. In addition, I hope it drops us another notch in their bogus power polls because strangely enough I get a mild kick out of winning and going down in the polls. Look at it this way, most people go out of their way to hide their hypocritical tendencies, the polls let you know unequivocally where they stand.

However, is there any chance that a win against Atlanta change the perception of this team for the fans that frequent the zone? What are your criteria that will change your perception? Is it possible under this coaching staff?

Boys 35 Falcons 17 Wade will make Matt Ryan look like a rookie QB, forcing multiple turnovers!

Not my perception of the coaching staff. Not after one game. Only way to change that is getting on a winning streak and winning a playoff game.

Fan perception of this team and its coaching staff can be remedied by only one thing: consistently good play on a weekly basis.

However, I've recently asserted the Falcons are the fourth best team in the NFC. A Cowboys victory on Sunday would substantially improve my perception of this team.

I hope the Cowboys win, but no, it won't change my perception of them at all.

I think most of us know they're capable of beating any team in the league. They're also capable of losing to any team, which they came within an eyelash of doing 2 weeks ago against a team that had won 2 games in 2 years.

The only thing that can change my perception of the team is for them to play well in December and January. In reality, my perception is irrelevant..... but the stupid, careless play on the field isn't.

But Romo now has a more friendly offense. He should look like Steve Young out there.

I think we will have a good shot at beating any team we play this year because talent has never been the issue with any of the Wade Phillips Teams. So far, I believe this season could very well be similar to the 2005 Season, where we are in just about every ball game but at crucial moments, things don't go too well.

I think the Cowboys will be able to point to a team with a winning record and a team in the NFC, which I think is important.

Anybody trying to downplay a win over a pretty good Atlanta Falcons team is doing just that, "trying to downplay a win".

Now if we lose, what will be more interesting is to see what kind of excuses being made.

And if someone actually says the stadium was the big distraction, it going to drive me nuts :bang2: .

I really think the Dallas Cowboys win this game. They played horrible against the Chiefs, but I think this will be a "teaser" game where the Cowboys may show just how good they can be and "tease" the fans, only to have letdowns against other lesser opponents.

Before:

TO: Dude, I was open
Romo: No you werent

After:
WR's: ?....................?
Romo: ?....................?

I can see where TO made it tough, but how is it more friendly now?

Ask Jerry and the homers. Apparently Owner Jones believed Tony had a small package and couldnt speak up for himself. This is probably attributed to his backwards hat or his "It's just a game" atittude.

It's more friendly now because Tony Romo doesn't have to hear a receiver complaining on radio and television about not getting the ball thrown to him.

Also, the Offense was very TO-centric, now it's Tony Romo's huddle and he and Garrett have the opportunity to spread the ball around.

So again.... you are saying he is sacless?

one of my friends (not a cowboy fan) asked me if this is a "barometer game" for the cowboys.

I told him, "only if we lose". if we lose people will say "see, they are not that good",

if we win it will be "atlanta did not have a bye" their starting CB was out" etc etc

so, to answer your question: this game will not change the perception if we win unless:

1. if we dominate atlanta
2. if we play mistake free football

both are less likely to happen than just a close win.

"Romo Friendly" lol I think that was a joke by Jerry Jones....only it wasn't....but it ended up that way.

And remember - when Jones first stated that the Offense would be more "Romo Friendly" he was all in with keeping Terrell Owens. His release did not happen for months after that quote originated, supposedly it was against Jerrys' judgment to release the Player.

Ah, yes the weekly "Im not worried we are going to win this" over confident thread...thank goodness, really missed it this buy week....now where is that rolling eyes symbol.

Oh, you mean like Roy Williams is doing now in interviews? Ahh... got it!

I didnt know that.

Either way, I am ok with Owens being gone. It became too much. But he wasnt wrong about everything. I think we can do very well with Roy and perhaps Miles. This offense can go. Romo just needs to get his act together.

It's more Romo Friendly because of play calling and scheme, only not all the time like it's not Romo Friendly early in the game when Dallas is trailing....or especially late in the game..or after half-time...sometime midway thru the 3rd quarter it's not romo friendly and certainly not in the 4th quarter.....or on non-running plays over 8 yards...or 3rd downs....or 1st and 20 which never happens anyway except all the time.

But it was a home game....
But we were favored to win....
But it's not December....
But the Falcons CB Williams was out....
But it's not a playoff game....
But we didn't win by enough points....
But the Falcons still had a couple of nice scoring drives....
But the Cowboys didn't win, the Falcons lost....
But Garrett still made some bad play calls....
But I still didn't like Wade's expressions on the sidelines....

Shall I go on?

You'll read all of those and more.
