Afternoon games thread

The Top 5 picks in the 2016 draft are all BALLERS! Jalen Ramsey's pick today was well played technique by the kid. Of course Zeke, Wentz, Goff and Bosa are the truth as well.

Nice Top 5 IMO...

I don’t give a damn how good the eagles are. I’m never going to bend the knee and kiss their ring.

Meaning in the seasons where the Eagles are better he's pretty much a delusional waste of a read.

I've never had a problem admitting a rival is better. Probably because its reality that over a lifetime of following a sport your rivals will be better sometimes.

Now which of the two sounds like an adult and which a child?

Go Cowboys.

Very rare for that to happen..

So true Risen. Every team should be pleased with their picks for years to come.

Edit: It is WAY too early to compare but that Top 5 may one day rival the vaunted 1989 Top 5. Aikman (#1), Barry Sanders (#3), Derrick Thomas (#4) and Deion Sanders (#5) all made the HOF. Only Mandirich (spelling?) was a wash and he was supposed to be can't miss, so can't fault Green Bay for the pick per se.

Rams looked to have gotten a favorable spot from the side judge.

Actually, I have readily admitted on this site several times that the eagles are the Better team. Sorry if you missed it. There’s a stark difference between what I referred to as “kissing the ring” than with acknowledging another team is good.

But I’m also not going to spend my time constantly pumping them either.

There’s a difference between acknowledging a rival is a really good time and harping on it over and over and over again.

If harping on it over and over again, is the deciding factor in you being “more of an adult” than other fans, then your standard for what makes somebody mature is pretty low. IMO.

In regards to the OL- last year their OL was considered avg at best because Wentz was getting killed

They were missing Lane Johnson for all but 6 games....

Jason Peters is past his prime and was playing injured for a month.

And Kelce while being a pro bowler in 2015, sucked big time in 2016.....

Barbe had to play OT for 4 games because of 3 tackles being injuried and Lane's suspension for 10 games.

They were just decimated with injuries last year.

I didn't realize you're only supposed to acknowledge the reality of your rival being better once and then go back to fantasy land to soothe sensitivities.

I don't know how to talk football any way but non fiction. When the Eagles aren't better I'll gladly say that too and you'll feel better about this. I promise.
