I like Collingsworth. I like Simms. I can't stand Joe Buck. And I have never met a single person who likes Buck. It's the ultimate proof that it's all about who you know, or who you are related to - because every fan of every team I've ever spoken to hates that guy. The baseball playoffs are the best time of the year in football, because Buck is off doing their games.

After week 2 we are ranked 8th in the AER. Our offense is ranked 19th and our defense is ranked 4th.

Two years ago our defense finished 32nd, last year 15th. I'm really hoping that we can maintain a top 5 rating on D, obviously we're going to need it with our offensive health issues.

I think they will maintain a top 10-12 ranking defensively, and that's without a dominant running game icing the clock. If we can ever get to a game where Hardy, Crawford, Gregory, Lawrence, Lee and McClain are healthy along with the rest of the guys, it should be fun to watch.

I continue to hope for a top 5 finish on defense. I feel with the guys we're getting back and the way we attack the ball we have a chance to play considerably better as the season progresses.

And frankly it couldn't come at a better time. I honestly can't remember any time when I actually believed the D could carry the team, but right now I like our chances. I don't think we're going to beat any powerhouse teams with our current situation, but I think the D will keep us close enough against most teams that we'll just need a play or two on offense.
