Joseph has the it factor, athletically. He just needs to focus, use his head (he's not as dumb as people pretend), and tune out all of the outside noise.

If he can keep his mind in-house, and, as Jerry would say, his *** out of the streets, he can have a nice career.

With him, it comes down to experience. Or inexperience, more accurately. Let DQ work.

We will see in pre-season, if the "new" Kelvin Joseph appears it would become more interesting.

He looked good in the reps that I saw of him at camp. Receivers made some catches, but he was in good coverage. I think he had a better day yesterday than Diggs did.
When they went 7's and 11's he was not very good. I hope he improves, but it's year 3. I solid reserve.

He really doesn't. Weak change of direction, average explosion jumps. It factor where? He just runs a fast 40. So did Anthony brown

He completely shut down Devontae in college. That’s big. The talent is there but he needs to understand the mental aspect of the game and have confidence in his ability.

I'm not basing it only on his 40. And you're envisioning him as an outside corner. Maybe in a pinch, but to me he's more of a slot or safety type player. If he can learn to cover the pass enough for DQ to trust him, his closing skills are top-notch, and he's not only a willing tackler, as some have suggested, he's a good tackler.

They've been trying to force a square peg into a round hole, because of what he did in college. But I don't think he's suited to be a top-notch outside corner in the pros early on in his career due to his inexperience. Remember, he only played 20 something games.. But there's a lot of stuff there that's hard to find. I personally think you need to allow him to play angry, because that's when he's best . . . when he's mad.

I also don't think he was ever going to be a day 1 or even year 1 starter. But he's got something to him as a player. His biggest weaknesses might be his height, and as you may be getting at, his hips. but that's why I think he's more of a safety myself, or maybe even slot player, as contradictory as that sounds...

Disclosure: I could be wrong, as always. JMO, which is also always subject to change. I think the jury is still out, though.

Yep, most apparently don't know that.
