The WC is going down to the end it looks like.

Orioles
Rays
Yankees

Tigers
White Sox

Angels
A's

Its looking like the A's and Angels are strong.

Tigers/White Sox will prob come down to the division winner and the other is left out.

AL East is knotted up tight.

Its very possible that the AL East or West could have 3 teams in the playoffs and the other division just has the division winner.

So you could have - Rangers, A's, Angels

Or - Orioles, Rays, Yankees

Right now the Rangers seem to be the only AL team locked in. And that could change but prob not.

This will be a fun stretch of pennant race baseball!!

Im hoping for:

Rangers
Tigers
Orioles
Rays
A's

Dont care too mcuh about the WC except it would be great to see the Skankees and Angels not get in!

Nolan Ryan was asked yesterday on GAC which AL team he thought provided the biggest challenge to the Rangers.

He mentioned the Rays and the Angels. It always comes down to pitching.

This should be a great pennant race!

I don't want to face the Angels in a seven game series, they have the talent to make a run if they can turn it on. The A's, Tigers, Orioles and Rays don't scare me. The Yankees are always gonna be tough but this team isn't as good as the one we bounced two years ago.

Didnt the Rays just take 2 of 3 from the Rangers?

Anything can happen in a short series.

Rays have good pitching and that is always a factor.

Orioles havent been taken seriously all year but are a team that wins. They have heart. A good bullpen. Havent lost a game all year when leading in the 7th inning or later. Excel in winning 1 run games and extra inning games.

Tigers could get on a roll - but havent shown it yet. Facing Verlander twice in a short series could be tough.

A's are playing well.

Angels have the pitching - if on they could be tough.

There is no favorite really, except the Rangers, and they have shown some cracks. depends on the pitching.
