So do you think Linehan will make sure Dez is more involved kinda like how he made sure Megatron was?

Word is that if Scott Linehan lands in Dallas, Browns could make a run at Bill Callahan to be Mike Pettine's offensive coordinator.

Linehan makes sense for Garrett (the 2 worked together in Miami), but that hire would obviously adversely affect Callahan's job description.

This was already in the the Lineham thread, but I dont think it does affect Callahan's job and he cant go anywhere without Jerrys consent...

I like the way our offensive line is coming along. Callahan is doing a great job with that unit and I like where that is going.

Do you fellas remember how awful it was just a year ago?

There better be a clear difference in play calling. Absolutely nothing changed when Callahan took over. So this would mean Garrett's only job would be game management. Hopefully he can improve.

Yes it did change. I thought it got worse with Callahan

Frank Pollack took over the OL for Callahan last year.

Exactly. Callahan coached the unit from the year before that set team records for all-time rushing lows. I hated the Callahan hire from day one and I hope he is gone.

yes it did. Dallas went from a vertical offense to a WC style, everything under the safeties, to the flats. People say this all the time but are more wrong then they know.

This past yr was not the coryell offense

While I personally hope to see some more running you're likely to see more use of the RBs in the passing game and a difference in the passing game particularly being more aggressive. If he comes you're only adding Linehan in game planning and as a passing coordinator. Sometimes more is better. Sometimes less. If Garrett can get them to work together and uses his chefs wisely then the offense may improve some.
