IDK he seems like he might have a demarcus ware like rise once we get closer to the draft (depending on how he performs at the combine). 6'5" guys that are 260 and can move do not grown on trees. He has proven he can get to the QB.

What do you guys think?

Smith is this year's Jason Pierre-Paul, a physical freak but still very raw.

Houston is a decent player but he's not Aldon Smith IMO.

If I am being honest, I havent seen either play. Just tossing names out there.

His 2010 highlight video is pretty cool though. Houston that is.

I would not say that. Smith is not a guy who does not know the game.

Don't like him. He's a 43 DE in the likeness Osi Umenyora but not as talented. He doesn't have agility to play as a 34 OLB.

Not a lot of people know about Smith. To be honest, I probably would have forgotten about him myself. He only played in 10 games this season, broke his leg. However, I have watched this guy as often as I could and there is no part of me that believes this kid is not going to be a big time player. I first saw him against Nevada as a Freshman. I was very impressed but one game against Nevada is not a big deal on it's own. I watched him. Watched him play Nebraska, OSU, and he looked pretty dang good. Then I watched him register 11 Solo Tackles and 2 sacks against the 2009 Longhorns. Same team that played for the National Championship. He was a recking crew. That's when I really felt like he was going to be special. Followed it up the next week with Colorado. Another heck of a game. Same thing with KState.

He was good again in 2010 before he broke his leg. He came back and still played and was still good, even after the injury.

Not a lot of people like this kid but I think he is going to be the kind of player that we thought Spencer was going to be. The guy who makes Ware impossible to double and triple team. The guy that can beat any RT in the NFL, one on one on any given play and can stack, shed and make plays against the run. Chase down from the backside or drop into coverage. I imagine what he can be in our defense and I get real excited because all of a sudden, our defense is a unit that can control games.

I think this guy is that player.
