The Eagles would have sent a thank you card if Tanney started that game. That game was irrelevant on what they chose to do with Tanney.

exactly BUT Dallas could have given the guy field experience and game experience. That would have at least made the loss more reasonable. Having a good qb and wasting him for a year did not. By now we have a guy who might retire, HAD we gone with Tanney, we would still be here BUT with a QB who has game experience and much more. See the difference.

There is a reason Tanney cannot stick with a team. He is what he is and at this point why try to turn him into something he is clearly not.

A 90-man roster and no room for a QB with one year under his belt with us especially when we need an arm for minicamp and would like to limit the reps for Romo?

I'd definitely bring him back. He played decent in limited preseason action.

Everybody's favorite QB project from last year is being released from the Browns. Any interest?

I liked what I saw from last year. I am also coming to think that we should always have a developmental QB on the roster. Bring him and let him compete with Weeden. Would be good insurance for if Orton flakes as well.
