No one is defending the play of the defense, we are simply stating a fact which is Alt WR were making the catches that they have been dropping.

And I am saying that Atlanta has had games where they have put up really good numbers... the point is they CAN, even with crappy receivers..

It is clear that the reason Atlanta was even in the game offensively is because we allowed them to be... they scored on wide open coverages...

Vick was accurate on 16 passes, with 4 TDs... he scored 25 percent everytime he threw the ball... he averaged over 15 yards a PASS... this was a game of breakdowns in defensive coverage, more so than Atlanta stepping up... As I said before, we have a tendency to make stars out of average players...

You argue that it is the fact that Atlanta stepped up, and I am saying it is more so that we allowed them to have big games... further, Dallas has been consistently beat ALL YEAR long on big plays... What Atlanta did was nothing new, and they exposed the weaknesses in our defense that are becoming ever more obvious each week we play...

I have seen ample Alt games this year and you evidently you have not because if you did you would realize they were playing good football opposed to all of the drops they have had. I also love how you ignored the last part of my statement as in we did have 4 sacks 2 ints one that went of the TD we scored 17 unanswered points in the 2nd half, you must know what that means right? while we scored the 17 to win the game the defense prevented alt to score at all. But please your intent to rag on the defense so please don't let those facts get in your way.

I mean I do not even know why we are trying to defend this defense anymore...

For the last 4 weeks, our defense has consistently been burned on big-plays... Whether it is a Cooley 50 yard TD, a Barber 40 yard run, Karney having 3 TDs, or this week whatever the Atlanta FBs name, we are getting killed defensively on big-plays..

There is a TREND going on, even with sub-par teams...

the only reason we are winning is because of our offense that seems to score at will in the 4th quarter...

And I have seen Atlanta many times this year and Michael Vick has put up incredible numbers.... He had a 3 game stretch where he was averaging like 3 TDs a game passing, and ESPN and the rest of the Networks were salivating at his performance... You seem to forget that what Atlanta has done, even with these crappy receiver's, is nothing new...

but the fact remains, Atlanta scored on 3 TDs at least where the player who scored WAS WIDE-OPEN... These are facts that are indisputable.. any crappy receiver could make those catches... this is the NFL...

And it's funny that you keep arguing that Atlanta is crappy, and than throw in the fact that we scored 17 unanswered points in the 2nd half... I thought our defense was suppose to be doing that.... and to me, they should be doing that... BTW, you also forgot that our drives started draining the clock... our last drive with Marion Barber took up like 6 or 7 minutes... you disrupt rhythm when you start controlling the clock that much....

your right I'm going to rag on this defense... the fact that we even allowed that many points for Vick when Atlanta has clearly been struggling is a key indicator of what our defense really is... we did the same thing to Manning, when the Giants were coming off a 4 game losing streak, and Manning was on the verge of collapse... he ended up having one of his great performances...

there is nothing that indicates that this defense is that great... when teams are struggling, all they have to do is play the Cowboys to restore their confidence... while the Cowboys may win, you will be glad to find out how close you have played them going into the forth, matching them offensively in terms of statistical output...

Alt WR have dropped many passes while being wideopen that is a fact and has been talked about and reported constantly this season evidently you don't get it. Also I agree the defense did play bad and made way too many mistakes however they also came up with some big plays and showed improvement in the second half of the game to help secure the win.
