Sure he can, I've seen him
3 or 4 balls a game isn't exactly the objective.
Sure he can, I've seen him
He's a good runner, can't seem to pass 20+ yards through the air with consistency though. It's WAY better than the few here who will never be happy or admit Prescott does anything positive.
exactly. these Dak lovers make it sound like Dak is the only one getting pressured. there are many examples like the NO play where he fumbled at the 16. the pressure is coming from the right, the rusher is being pushed to the outside, just step up, half a step and he goes past you and you buy another second. he never felt him, never saw him, never looked to his right. all QBs get pressured. its the NFL. some know how to move around the pocket. some don't...the latter is Dak.Phillip Rivers was under siege all night last night, many times with no more than a couple of blinks to get rid of the ball. It was a clinic on what a QB should do under pressure.
average time to throw in the NFL this year is between 2.46 and 3.2. Dak is about 3.02 and 3rd highest....What is the average time to throw in the NFL? How many of those "no one was open" is just because he didn't throw the ball so you assume that? The fumble in the endzone in the Washington game is a prime example. "6th Week 7 vs Washington- 3rd and 14- After 4 seconds trying to find someone open, he gets caught sacked and fumbles into the end zone. " To your credit, you do call it a bad fumble (hint: all fumbles are bad) but Gallup was open, wide open for a possible TD, Dak just didn't throw the ball. That's not on the OL, the WR, the Coach, the mascot or the guy selling beer,, that is 100000000% on Dak and Dak alone.
I have never seen any average player get so many excuses to justify their average play. The facts are that Dak fumbles a lot.. more than anyone in the league to date. That is on Dak, 100%. It is his JOB to protect the ball at all times under any circumstances. To claim otherwise is just foolish. I remember back to 2014 and D. Murray having fumbling issues and it wasn't a problem because he led the league in rushing, until it cost us a chance to go the NFC Title game. Dak needs to get it cleaned up and fast.
What the hell are you talking about?
I'll try again. Fumbling and recovering is much better than fumbling and turning the ball over. K?
You have cause and effect backwards. The defense got a lot of turnovers because the offense put up a lot of points.Okay enough is enough.. Let's take a trip down memory lane and see how Romo performed against "playoff teams" aka "good teams"
I see your critisism of Dak for only generating 13 points against the best team currently in football... Here we go

* now couple of notes
That is 32 turnovers in 21 games against playoff opponents. Hard to win like that. But of course lets blame the defense or someone else.
Which brings me to my next point. In 2007 Romo put up alot of points. Isn't that the same time period our defense was at the top of the league in generating turnovers? Amazing how that works right?
Sure dosen't appear to me Romo is some scoring machine in most of these games that you guys imply and most certainly did not protect the football.
Edit:
Defensive takeaways
2006 31
2007 29
2008 22
2009 21
2016 20
2017 21
2018 14
1st vs Carolina: 3rd and 7 down 16-8 with 1:39 left: No one open, starts to run to the right at 2.72 seconds, is cut off by a defender and reverses field. Fumbles the ball while being tackled. 3rd and 7 would have been 4th and 16 from our own 16. Didn’t exactly cost us the game but it was a legitimate fumble. I argue the Coverage sack caused this more than anything else.
2nd- Week 4 against Detroit: 2nd and 3 at Dallas 32- Empty set, Dak stepping up into the pocket and while in the act of throwing, has the ball knocked out from a defender at 2.29 seconds. Has the presence of mind to pick it up and throw it away. None of this is his fault and he actually saved the game by making this play as it was just before the 2 minute warning and we were down 24-23.
3rd: week 6 vs. Jacksonville: 2nd and 9 at Jax 32: In shotgun, while performing an RPO with Zeke, the ball looks to be knocked out by Zeke as he was running past on the fake, ball bounces up to Dak and he actually gained a yard.
4th- week 6 vs Jacksonville: 2nd and 7 at Jax 25: haha, again, Dak takes off scrambling after 2.37 seconds…ball slips out of his hand while running and bounces back into his hands for a 7 yard gain and a first down.
5th- Week 7 vs Washington- 4th and 1- Fumbles on a sneak. Totally on Dak and this one pissed me off because I have been screaming for them to utilize the qb sneak because it should be unstoppable and he goes and fumbles it when they try it. Washington recovered.
6th Week 7 vs Washington- 3rd and 14- After 4 seconds trying to find someone open, he gets caught sacked and fumbles into the end zone. Bad fumble, Washington scored on this fumble. I know he was trying to make a play but he can’t take a sack let alone fumble in that situation. 2 bad fumbles this game.
7th- Week 9 vs Tennessee- 3rd and 13- After 3.4 seconds in the pocket, is tackled trying to run away and while trying to fight for yardage, is stripped by Woodyard. Should have done something else after there was no one open at 3 seconds…again…trying to make a play on 3rd and long. No one open…Tennessee recovered.
8th-Week 10 vs. Philly- 3rd and 8- After 3 seconds in the pocket, starts to scramble to the right evading a defender, then pats the ball out of his own hand. Picks it up and throws incomplete. Not the worst thing in the world at all…wish he didn’t do that but no harm, no foul.
9th- Week 12 vs Washington- 2nd and 4- Designed RPO run to right, Fumbles as he is going out of bounds after getting the first down. Watching this, his right foot was already out of bounds and then fumbles…should not have even been a fumble. 1st down…
10th- Week 13 vs N.O.- 3rd and 7 New Orleans 19- Ball is knocked out of his hand by defender while resetting to throw in 2.5 seconds. Recovers own fumble for no gain. Hardly his fault on this one.
11th Week 13 vs N.O.- 3rd and 5 on N.O. 6- Sacked in 2.4 seconds from his blind side. A little more time and no holding by Collins and it is likely a TD to Gallup over the middle. Not much he could do here…imo. Wish he hung onto it but Collins was the problem here…not Dak.
Out of the 11 Fumbles:
Hope this helps clear up the latest fallacy about this qb.
- 5 were turnovers
- 4 were for positive yards or no gain.
- 4 were 2.5 seconds or less by a defender.
- 4 were as a runner
- 2 are hanging in the pocket too long, what he is bashed for...
- 1 shouldn't have been a fumble.
Whaaaaaa, nothing can be wrong with Dak!! Nothing, it's unbearable if true! Nothing must be wrong with him! If you say so you're a hater!!! He's 0% at fault for any shortcomings in this offense! How could I be a real fan if I believe something else. Dak is better than Brady, stats say so. Has more wins than anyone in this or that category. "Throws it to a spot" (it's always on the receivers if it's an incomplete!!!). Throws the prettiest spiral (ummm... ehhh.... ummmehhhh...... wait that was someone else, nvm!!). Dak is so guuuuuuud, y'all are trolls and E-girl fanbois and haters if you dare to critizice anything about him!! My fragile *true fan* ego can't handle it, whaaaaaa.
Good lord. Now we're analyzing Dak's fumbles to try to get him off the hook?
I can't wait to see what the off season looks like in here.
It's hard for me to blame a QB when he gets hit from his blind side and strip sacked unless he's just holding onto the ball for a good minute... sometimes I think people forget that this game is played against other teams filled with a roster of other NFL talented players. Sometimes those players just make great plays too. A few of those plays I'll put on Dak squarely, but it's not nearly as bad as it's been portrayed. IMHO.
There are 400 other threads on that. If you want to talk about how "real" qbs pass.None of that addresses one simple item.
Dak Prescott can not throw a football like a real quarterback.
It's a problem.
Innaccurate.average time to throw in the NFL this year is between 2.46 and 3.2. Dak is about 3.02 and 3rd highest....
Agreed and well stated.
The TWO fumbles that DLaw caused (one Drew recovered and another negated by the offsides call) was much more a "great play" by DLaw than a "bad play" by Drew.
Or the "safe throw away" Drew made at the end of the game. It was not a terrible decision or a bad throw on Drew's part (any less accurate and he risked the chance of intentional grounding being called), but Lewis reacted exceptionally fast to the throw and made one heck of a catch for the interception.
Just like the strip, sack and recovery by Cameron Jordan while almost being put into a sleeper hold by Collins. If DLaw pulls that off, he is the hero in big D for being the best defensive player since the early 90's.
Again, not excusing any of the turnovers, as in a perfect world, BOTH QBs should have be taking care of the ball. But I am also aware that the defense is paid to play just like the offense.
I stand corrected. its between 2.56 and 3.28. Dak is about 2.93 and is the 3rd highest....doesn't change much does it.There are 400 other threads on that. If you want to talk about how "real" qbs pass.
Innaccurate.
You may want to check your statistics before spreading misinformation.
