Does anyone here think that the skins should have more than 1 guy there?......OLB.......

C.Griffin is the 4th alternate and he's been the top player on the defense.....

Lets see the whole list before we make that judgement.

It may be on NFL.com already...I'll check.

Eh, I have a hard time getting worked up about it. :D

Seriously, though, there's not a lot of "standouts" or big names on that defense. Just a lot of solid guys who do a good job.

I also think they get the benefit of an inept offense, so teams don't try to do to much against them... just play ball control knowing if they can score 17 the game is over.

They may be a top-rated squad, but I don't think they put the fear of God into anyone the way a Baltimore defense does.

That said, they're playing a hell of a lot better than our D is.

Looking at it the full rosters, Griffin and Pierce have an argument.

A lot of the Pro Bowl is based on name recognition and it's tough to get that when you're an unknown on a bad team.

If they keep playing well and Washington turns things around, they'll get theirs.

Looking at the list, I would say Griffin might be more deserving of Glover, but who else do you have a problem with?

Pierce over trotter is the one I agree with.

I wouldn't worry about it KB. I think a few more skins deserved selections and I think a few Cowboys went on reputation. I haven't watched a pro bowl game in years and probably won't start. We both have high profile teams, if and when we start winning the pro bowl births will magically appear deserved or not.

Yeah, I was thinking more Griffen over Shaun Rogers of DET and Pierce over Trotter.

No, rogers deserves to be in there. Glover might be mor talented and have more things working against him, but the fact of the matter is that he had an inferior year compared to griffin.

La'Roi Glover has already matched his sack total from last season (5.0) and needs only one more tackle-for-loss to tie his total from last season. He has more sacks than either Cornelius Griffin (4.5) or Shaun Rogers (4.0). And, perhaps most importantly, three of Glover's sacks came on Monday Night Football -- two against the Seahawks and one against Washington. Other than the guys you play directly against, that's one of the few times when players from other teams get to watch you play. So if you've been to the Pro Bowl, you perform like a Pro Bowl player when you're on a national stage and you have stats comparable to the other Pro Bowl candidates, you're probably going to Hawaii without much question.

Likewise, Larry Allen blowing open holes for Julius Jones on Thanksgiving Day and on Monday Night Football in Seattle probably sealed his Pro Bowl spot, if it was ever in question (which I doubt).

Yeah it's nice seeing a fan from another team that knows a thing or two about football. Glover sees more double teams in a game then Brianna Banks does in a year. He even gets triple teamed quite often. Ellis has 9 sacks cuz La'Roi Glover is on the DL with him.

I don't think that was it. LA deserved to be in the probowl this year, but even if he would of had a terrible year he still would of made it just on name recognition alone, like he did last year.

But, like I said, he turned it around this year and his trip to Hawaii is well deserved this year.

I know it's deserved this year. But we don't know for sure whether he could have played at the same level this year as last year and still gotten in on his reputation. After he made it last year, there was plenty of talk that he didn't deserve it. Perhaps the players and coaches heard that and wouldn't have put him in on name recognition if he continued at the same level this season. But, of course, he raised his level of play. And his excellent play against Chicago and Seattle -- when everyone was watching -- proved that once and for all.

uhh...why?

You said yourself Griffin is playing better. Why trade $25 for $24?

He says glover is better, which is true, but griffin is having the better season.

Why? Trotter is obviously the better linebacker, plays on the better team, and is a former Pro Bowler.

Pierce has played the whole season...Trotter has started seven games, but he definitly brings a lot to the defense.

Trotter does bring a lot. But simply saying he is better doesn't mean a thing. In my unbiased opinion, Pierce has both played better and has been a part of the better unit.

That's not the way the Pro Bowl works.

The better teams get more Pro Bowl players because the rest of the NFC is so damn bad. Washington isn't going to get 9 Pro Bowlers with that record. Former Pro Bowlers also usualy get more consideration over first timers (Glover and Allen).

And there is NO WAY Pierce is better than Trotter. Trotter completely turned the defense around.

We have 9 Pro Bowlers...should have had at least 11. :banghead:

LMAO. So how do you explain us having 4, or eagles only having two? The probowl is about who had the best season. Pierce did, no questions about it. You're an eagle fan, and are slanting you views toward your players. Should have had 11....puhlease!
