All Cowboys contact with prospects for 2025 Draft

My money would be on Golden. Even as a lower usage player he inhibits defenses every play with his speed. If he maxes out, then he is a good enough WR to be featured. However there are reasons to favor Tet as well. Tet should pay dividends in the redzone, and should be good enough to be featured if Lamb gets hurt
Lack of production worries me about Golden, but we don’t have a receiver like him. I see T-Mac as an old schooled no 1 receiver who could demand double teams.

Do you know how small the list is of wrs in the NFL that command doubles? Saying that's tet is WILD to me. If that's him why would he even fall to 12? Doesn't make sense

Brain dead logic.

Why did Lamb last until the 17th pick? Why did Justin Jefferson last until the 23rd?

Oh, go ahead and provide the short list of WRs that are double-teamed and then the source you’re referencing.

When you can't run the ball and have no other legit threat at WR, it surprises me that CD is not doubled 100% of the time.

Teams only did it out of necessity. Niners did it alot in the playoffs when he was in the slot.
Necessity and the fact that you have no other weapons. Sam thing happens to Micah.

It's like having a DH with someone who can't hit the behind them, so there is no reason to pitch to the DH.

Why do you think they move Lamb around so much, he gets doubled on every snap.
You can't double him in zone which is my main issue with THIS team. To beat Dallas you don't play man you play zone. Niners and packers showed that. To beat zone qb and oline are infinitely more important than receivers. Cowboy fans think in regular season view too much. I'm not interested in the smoke and mirrors regular seasons anymore. Either get far or get a top 10ish pick.

To beat a zone coverage team, you run the football against light boxes. This is where the Cowboys have struggled with since Zeke regressed. In regards to Lamb, even zone teams have use bracket coverages to contain him with success. You need another receiver to be able to win on the other side to force teams to get out of these coverages on Lamb. Teams try to do the same with Cincy, but there is Tee Higgins on the other side.

Take Golden.
I'm not going to pretend to have a crystal ball. But Golden had a couple things that make him a second round prospect to me, because of doubt/hesitancy. I definitely wouldn't burn 12 on him.

Drops, lack of production, size. Has speed, but does his physique make him injury-prone?

I just don't see him as an early first round pick. JMO.

If he didn't have 4.29 speed, do they draft him? I don't think so.

A guy like McMillan, 6'5'', and dominant on a bad team with a bad QB, I think you can justify it. It's safe to say he at least helps you in the red zone.

But the more I think about it, the more I think the Cowboys will go a different direction than WR.

I think they . . . like our guys.

It won't surprise me if they go DT at #12 or a trade down. I just don't believe this WR class as good as the 1st round picks in last 3 drafts at least those drafted in top 20. McMillan, Golden, Burden or Egbuka. All look like late 1st to early 2nd round guys. Guys like Bech, Higgins and Harris have as much upside as those 4, so if they can trade down and take one then I'm okay with it. Still believe they sign either Lockett or Allen on the Monday after the draft regardless.

... because teams wanted speed, and CeeDee didn't have enough, so they took guys like Jeudy.
