If the Cowboys end up locking up homefield early expect to hear all kinds of talk of how to handle the end of the season. Will this backfire? Can they flip the switch back on in the playoffs. That sort of thing.

It would probably be used as an excuse if they lose in the divisional round.

It's gonna be as annoying as "should Romo play when healthy?" And we gotta hear "should Romo get some playing time now that we've locked up home field". Lord give me the strength.
