All I See Is Its T.O.s Fault, T.O. Drops, Blah Blah

11 TDs aren't big catches? minus a few TDs in blowouts, or end of games, TO has made as many big catches as Terry Glenn has

hell, I think Pat Crayton has made more big catches than any WR on our team, but TO is still an effective weapon, and to downgrade his impact is foolish, could he make more of an impact? w/ his salary, hell yeah he can, and should, but he hasn't been a wasted signing

Yeah it is like the guy in baseball who gets 3 hits in a game but strikes out in the bottom of the 9th with based loaded. Playmakers make big plays when the chip are down TO has not done that. You can talk all you want about his stats but in critical situations within games he has not made the big plays. When Irvin was here he did make the plays when the team needed it the most. Rice in SF did as well when his team needed someone to step up and make the big play he did. TO hasn't

If this is seeing clearly then I concur.

TO needs to just shut up and catch more passes.

The fans and media just need to shut up.

The guy is leading the league in TD catches. He has a ton of yards. Those things are undeniable. So are his drops. He is not as good as he thinks he is or as bad as the media wants him to be. He's a tough cover and a playmaker but he is not a great hands guy. He should be used more early. Get him hot and watch the offense go. Not save him for home run attempts and then whine when he drops it. He's a short pattern guy and always has been.

Truly I think TO is one of those guys this year that Parcells would say "he's doing ok but I expect a bit more". He's just dropping too many balls, a lot of them on third down which is almost like a turnover. He's been good not great. The talking? Just noise. I think the team sorta tunes that out mostly, he gets noisy when we lose not when we win. When we lose noone is happy that's a fact.

are u people serious?

you really believe that one drop in mondays game mattered that much?

the Eagles were going on repeated 85+ yard Touchdown DRIVES.

doing whatever they wanted.

our defense was PITIFUL monday. they are too blame, along with possibly some playcalling, o-line for our lack of scoring. but come on... our defense couldn't get off the field.

it came to a point where the announcers were praising Jeff Garcia for 30 minutes straight, like he is headed straight to the hall of fame. and by the way he shredded our defense, our D made him look like a damn hall of famer.

blame the terrible defense guys. not T.O.

after all. who did have our only score. hm. o yea...
Well stated..........Thank You

Our offense scored 7 points the entire game because our QB apeared disinterested at best at completing a pass. Probably why he went undrafted.
They were kicking our butt with a three and four man rush and blitzing 1 guy. That leaves 6/7 guys in coverage. It worked well.

Terry Glenn had a drop that killed a productive drive too, might as well include him into the mix as well

Yeah. I walked out of the room once during the game. That was huge. I should've never done that. ;)

I just KNEW it had to have been YOU...just stay in the living room and keep waving those chicken bones.:)

PS Ironically, that was the one minute I walked out too.

Bottom line, TO needs to shut his festering gob, hang on to the ball, and remember he's a WR, not a QB, OC, or HC in this game. He does that and no one is upset with him. He brings it on himself by being a pugnacious blowhard. I feel no pity at all for the stone handed fool or his legions.

:laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

I don't know which phrase is funnier, TH.

"Festering gob" or "pugnacious blowhard".

i'm glad to see the thread got many replies that were actually good, instead of T.O. hating. the defense getting blame. whew. nice to see.

Definitely..no hunger, thirst, nature calling, crying babies, nagging spouses, frowning in-laws, or pizza deliveries shall ever again remove us from viewing even a second of the game.

Or the chicken bone turns on TG and makes him drop a pass. :)

I would never ask you or anyone else to feel any pity whatsoever. You have your stance. I have mine. That said, your assumption that the TO hate campaign hasn't been in full steam ahead mode is way off base. I'm not into fabrications. I just don't type to defend players because I like to and, beyond popular belief, I will care neither here nor there if TO is on this team or not. It's about improving upon what this team does every year. We've been spinning our wheels ever since Parcells showed up. It's the same song and dance every year. So whether TO is here or not next year, if we actually grow some and do damage in the playoffs then I am a happy man.

You already know my personal opinion on whether "improvement" next year includes TO or not so I won't go there.
I never said there isn't hatred of the fool here. Of course there is hatred for him. There's also some levels below hatred, and they include disgust, apathy, and outright surrender.

If you want to label disgust as hatred then be my guest. I don't succomb to infantile theories or conspiracies. When a player screws up he is going to get lambasted...period. TO has been screwing up and he's getting lambasted. Life is cruel. Either he will get over it or he won't. I could care less either way. He's just a player on my football team with big talent that gets erased by an even bigger mouth.

To be truthful I believe I got "festering gob" from boozeman back in the day on the old site.
