not saying we should take Walker but even Georgia fans will tell you Walker is a better player than Williams.
You draft based off what a player can be at the next level not what they were in college.

Williams has prototype size, length and athleticism for the position. He’s oozing traits just needs to refine his craft a little bit.

ideally you should draft with measurables in mind in the first RD but Walker has such crazy first step that i dont see him busting, worst case he will be a great situational pass rusher who can rack up sacks and best case we have another Micah.I suspect he is going to do great at the combine and raise his draft stock anyway.

A DPR honestly might be a good role for him. That’s not a top 15 pick though…

Those players failing had absolutely nothing to do with position. 2 of them had serious injury concerns, 1 openly admitted to not liking football, and 1 was known for having a terrible attitude. And LVE wasn’t a bust by any means anyway. So I guess Taco was the closest thing to a “safe” pick, and he was drafted specifically because he fit the scheme rather than drafting the most talented player….the thing I’m arguing against doing

But all that aside…what specific skill set do you think Walker lacks to be successful as either a Lb or edge rusher?
First, I think you are reading some things into my post #30 that I didn't say. I'm just reminding folks that if there are questions regarding position, it's a red flag to rethink how valuable the player is and is there tape that supports the grade? Or is it all "projection" which is a very dangerous ranking system.

Secondly, I'm not saying anything about his specific skill set. I was responding to the clear division of opinions concerning what position he can or will play in the NFL & whether he has the size, length or skills to play either at a level that warrants such a high pick. Not my questions because quite frankly I haven't studied him.

He doesn't have nearly the bend of micah. He's more of strength and relentless when rushing the passer.

Ware wasn't 1st ballot. Why is micah? All world defenders are you Aaron Donald's and Julius peppers not micah
B/C his current pace after his first few years is equivalent to only a handful of guys that have ever played the game. If you don’t like the phrase all world feel free to rephrase it however you like.

You sure that 100m time isn’t 10.94? The girls can run 11.94.
I agree. If he runs the first 40 yards in 4.5 secs, he runs the last 69 in 7.4? 10.94 makes more sense I think. But I am slow as molasses so what do I know.

By year 4 he has 1 more sack than Ware.

Ware also had a 20 sack season year 4, more tackles, more forced fumbles, more ints.
