All Jerry hate...

I saw yesterday the Bengals game and specially how Newman tackled during the game and of course I know and see all the hate for Jerry Jones because of team failures year after year. Why Newman always looked like "crystal" when he played for us?

Jerry Jones is a great owner and of course he likes to handle all the personal decisions, he's a players owner as he seems to help them a lot but what I'm seeing its that players just don't respond to all what the owner do for them.

I love what Jerry Jones do because he wants to win all the time, he like to spend money and always try the best. I like his passion and I hope players can, in someway, respond him and of course we, the fans, the same way and with the passion our owner and the fan base has.

I think most of our players just don't understand what it is and how it feel to be a Cowboy fan. As the way Newman has been played and tackled for the Bengals just show me that. I understand he was injured sometimes but we always looked so worried of him because of an injury to happen... That doesn't seem good to see him tackling the way he did yesterday.

I wish we can have more players like Witten which seems to understand and perform at the highest level all the time.

But I hope we never have an owner with no passion and the heart Jerry Jones has. We need players to respond him and of course to respond us, the fans.

Go Cowboys!

Can I have the last two minutes of my life back?

I have no clue what you just wrote.

If Jerry were just content to be the owner he'd be fine.

It's the GM title that makes fans dislike him so much.

Yep..

I guess you enjoy the 15+ years of mediocrity because of our great owner/gm :lmao2:. He is the one constant through it all.

I get it ... this is a sucker thread. See how many suckers you can lure in.

Yep, which doesn't even matter. In case no one noticed, it was Tom Ciskowski, not Jerry Jones, that Rob Ryan credited multiple times this year for getting him pieces to fill in on Defense.

In case no one noticed, Mike Fisher in his interview with Jason Garrett commented on how deeply involved in personnel decisions Garrett is.

In case no one noticed, in Babe Laufenberg's report from Training Camp (which I had not seen until recently), it was Tom Ciskowski who broke down his responsibilities and basically proved he is the person who does what most want from a GM.

In case no one noticed, Tex Schramm, the best GM in the History of the NFL, did not do the things people want of a GM here in Dallas. That was Gil Brandt and Tom Landry. Tex was the businessman, the media mogul, etc.

In case no one noticed Bob Ackles, Larry Lacewell, and Jeff Ireland all did the same job before Ciskowski.

That title is a fan witch hunt. Jerry is not the personnel guy. Never has been. It has always been his coaches and scouts led by one man, currently Ciskowski.

Being hung up on the title is a way to feel great about nothing.

It isn't the title fans hate, it is mediocrity.

I dont think the team really has a GM. Jerry is an ego maniac that loves titles and looking like he knows what he is doing.

There has been no course or blueprint for this team for ever and the win loss record shows it. If you want to say Tom is the GM then tell me what his plan is for building a team? You cant because there isnt one...it changes every year as the GroupThink makeup at the Table changes. No one is really in charge.

This is the only reason I think Red can be successful here...he has the ability to manage the GroupThink process to achieve the guys he wants typically. Jerry will always go nuts once in awhile and do something really dumb...just how he is and how he runs the team.

I didn't say Tom is the GM. I said GM is a title. Tom is in charge of personnel.

His plan for building the team is to ask Garrett what he needs and wants and do what he can to find it for him. His words, not mine.

You can either accept that the masses are wrong about how football teams are run or learn. Entirely up to you.

Jerry has said otherwise, many times. Maybe you should send him an email.

Or maybe you could. Nothing I stated was wrong. Just the facts.

You said Jerry is not a personnel guy and he has stated directly that he is. I'll take his word over your conjecture.

“The night I bought it, I said I would be doing what I’m doing and that’s GM the team and making the final decisions on personnel,” he said. “That’s the way it’s always been done. We’ve won three Super Bowls doing it that way, so I’m going to do it again.”

I don't see how that statement disproves anything Hos said. He said he makes the final decision, but obviously before that happens there is a process that happens. I would venture to say that the process goes down pretty much how Hos described it and than Jerry makes the final decision. That's how I read it.

Final decisions and personnel analysis are 2 different things. Sorry you can't grasp that.
