All Negative concerning the Cowboys

It seems all the mediots can talk about is our bad draft, Romo being pushed into working more with the offense which puts more pressure on him, Switching to a 4-3 and not having the players to run it, and how we have fallen to the very bottom of the East. We are also ranked one of the ten or twelve worst teams in the pre season rankings. A local radio station was talking to Clark Judge today about various teams and they said the Cowboys couldn't find their with both hands and a map!
I know it is the popular thing to step on the Cowboys but this year it seems to really be the thing to do. I guess we have a good shot at doing something this year when the idiots write us off. I can usually find someone to listen to that is positive concerning the Cowboys but so far this year I haven't.
I'm not going to lie, I am a little concerned with all the change taking place this offseason and the fact that we need to make a run sooner rather than later. For some reason I think we are really going to surprise everyone or we are going to stink it up, no in between this year. Hopefully we shut everyone up and do something........

I for one love the draft & a few of the ufa. I haven't paid attention to the media. I really believe all 7 of these guys have a great chance at panning out.

I have known this for 30+ years but I have to admit its getting old. The only thing that will shut these people up is a SB win. I guess I took those 70's and 90's teams for granted. I thought we would always be contenders or in the thick of things. Something is holding us back..:bang2:

I'm extremely excited about what's going on this year. Maybe negative media coverage is what we need, it works for the Giants every year, and whenever we're projected to do well (2010) it blows up in or face, then circles around and bites us in the butt

Maybe you feel that way because Dallas drafted a bunch of good football players including their 1st round pick. Just a thought.

Nah lol...I don't think Frederick's gonna be anywhere worth the 1st roudner you guys gave up to get him.

As for the rest, I could easily make arguments against pretty much all of them if I wanted to...but something tells me that the negatives aren't gonna matter this time. And the positives will pay off. And I have no idea why I'm thinking that this year...

I don't think Dallas handled the first 2 rounds properly, but they ended up with the best center in the draft (easily top 3), a top 3 TE with the best hands in the draft, the nation's leading WR who was expected to go by the 2nd round, an explosive safety with a ton of upside, a CB who was highly rated and expected to go earlier, as well as a running back in the 5th round who was considered a top 5 player at his position who many consider a steal. I think Dallas could have done even better with their top two picks, but I think they ended up with a bunch of very good prospects who were slotted to go between rounds 2-4. This was NOT a bad draft as far as talent acquired and needs filled (which are really the main objectives of any draft).

Sad to say that Players and Organization need it but honestly too many let them have a free ride for almost two Decades. Maybe it can be a motivating factor....to an extent.

While I agree that winning big will shut up the critics... if you think Dallas is treated by the national media/fans the same as any other 8-8 team, then you simply haven't been paying attention.

They are treated more like they went 2-14 than 8-8 two years in a row playing in the final game for the division crown.

I don't usually get into conspiracy theories about this team since they are theories and not based on anything but hurt feelings in most cases.

However, if Big Top Bozo, the President GM would stop acting like this team is the center of the universe, and dragging his Skeletor butt on TV to announce they have decided to use the same coconut oil butter on the popcorn produced in the concessions stands that you sample at the movie theaters, as if this were a Super Bowl parade, then he would stop putting a target on the team for ridicule.

Jerry treats this team like they won every year because he is a marketing genius.

With that comes ridicule when he also is a football miscreant as a GM.
