Until the Cowboys won that Super Bowl against the Dolphins, they were always ridiculed. Hoping the draft they made brings in another ring.

Yes, Next Year's Team is what they called the Cowboys.

But once they started winning, and winning championships the perception changed.

There is no difference now than then except there is more national coverage that reinforces the local coverage.

Back then you had two local papers.

Almost no radio, and only sports on the TV news.

Today even TV Guide talks about sports. So maybe a little perspective is in order.
