And most arnt playing up to par on defense? Q, Clark, and Gary also?

This isnt a coincidence. It's the damn scheme and parker. These players are not as bad as they seem.

If the players could really speak their minds on what they really think of parker and this monstrosity of an experiment, I'm guessing it wouldn't be good.

Parkers scheme is a wannabe complex pipe dream. We have the players, we just need a more simplified scheme that the players can adjust to and succeed in.

No matter who we add, the results will stay the same. We still lose that Tampa game even if porter played. The scheme sets players up to fail, not succeed. All of the players we bought in are playing outside of their comfort zone.

I mean it’s just common sense that you have 3 DCs and 3 years, player turnover and missed draft picks and free agency is why things look the way they do. This was the risk of having a first time coordinator. The plan was to be average on defense at some point. We aren’t at the some point and if the pass rush never gets better we won’t ever be there. Can’t ruin a defense for 4 years and then say fix me in 4 weeks. Factor in all our free agents being hurt?

We definitely do not have the players with all those DBs out and Overshown out. We probably only have one NFL caliber linebacker on the roster (Barham).

We possibly don’t field a single NFL caliber Corner against the Bucs. You don’t win many games like that, especially turning the ball over 3x.
It gets lost in the shuffle that our entire secondary is practically out. That’s CP’s specialty. Bell should only play in dime but now he’s the starter. Downs is playing safety not the nickel. Bland is playing on roller skates. It’s ugly.

The scheme is bad. It's like the worst version of a bend don't break defense. Downs has been mishandled beyond belief. They are so vanilla up front. The secondary is running extremely loose zone. The LBs don't know what they are doing. The fundamentals aren't there either. Terrible tackling team. What happened to Von Miller? He was good last season.

It's bad.

I would argue the roster is not bad. If everyone on D was cooking this would be a decent group. They are being coached into purgatory.

Don't worry they are, it'll get talked about once said players or coach is no longer here

Let's hope Pettine is the elixir that's needed to help get this team back on track. It's obvious that Parker needs help to get his troops acclimated to a scheme that's easier to understand. Let see if Pettine can manage to help Parker make that happen. It's not like someone with more experience can't make any difference. At this point in time, there's little to lose and a lot to gain. Let's try to find hope, friends!

The fact that players who are supposed to be looking good, arnt looking good, tells me its the scheme. Downs got beat for a TD and thats because the communication didn't work. Parker is telling these guys to do certain things, and all it is doing is confusing them all.

Even Q isnt himself from trying to adjust to all the noise in the scheme.

Gary was not very good last year. Kenny Clark, who I lived a few years ago is not the same player he was either. Q cannot do it alone. A defensive line need 4 guys who can do their jobs. The Cowboys have Q, and the rest are JAG. Bullard was the other guy who could do some damage but he is on IR.

Bland and Steward have sucked and that's not a scheme issue.

.......still couldn't put Humpty together again.

Perhaps in 2027 they will finally "pronounce it with an Umpty"

Well I didn't mention them. I know that much. Imo bland needs to walk away from the game. He has the money, and his passion for the game is gone. He could be cut tomorrow and he is still set for life.

The problem is expecting Clark and Gary to be difference-makers when they haven't been in like 4 years.
