I have only got tears once during sports....when we lost to the Niners in 94. Yep, that was emotionally devastating for me....mainly cause my friend was a Niners fan, and I had to hear his lip for the next year and he was relentless.
Now, sentimental movies get me teary eyed...Rudy, when he makes the sack at the end, I get misty. Brian's Song brings out the tears. When that kid is running for the TD to his dad's arms in Little Giants, I get choked up and teary.
As I have gotten older, I have become more sentimental, especially when events involve children. The little things they accomplish really hit me good. I guess that comes with age, huh.
But as far as tonight goes, I probably won't shed a tear. Now if I was there or went and took a tour again sometime this winter, I would probably cry, feel numb, and just be overall sad. I have used the moniker The Cathedral to describe Texas Stadium..........the temple where God looks down on his boys during the fall and winter.
