Lots of Great memories in that place.

It's going to be strange seeing them in the new stadium...Texas Stadium is all I've ever known.

I want that channel so bad.

Yes you do.

I'm watching it today all Cowboys.

America's Game about the Super Bowl seasons is Fantastic.

You get the inside untold stories from the players and the coaches.

It was great hearing Jimmy talk about inside stuff.

And then hear Woodson talk about Switzer and the coaching change.

Good stuff.

I'm in the minority on this one for sure. I've been to Texas Stadium many, many times, and each time I've gone, especially of late, I've thought, "Man, do we need a new Stadium. Bad." It had gotten horribly out dated. I'm glad to see the old one go. Memories or no memories.

Go Cowboys!!!

Why Dalrymple? I never understood why they had the freaking P.R. guy doing commentary for the 1995 episode. They should have gotten Deion for that one because he works for the NFLN and he was the hired gun for that year.

Your damn post had me emotional Hoss.
x2! When the game is over, it will really hit me then, and I'm sure I'll make Dick Vermiel proud. :laugh2:

I pass by this stadium at least twice a day on the way to, and from work. Last night, I passed by the old girl, on my way to dinner with some friends, and they were playing some high school football games there, and I sorta got choked up looking at the bright lights shining out of the roof of the place, knowing that this will be one of the last times I see that. If you have never seen it in person, it is a thing of beauty.

I just wish I had my camera, and tripod with me, so I could have pulled over, and took one last pic of that. Even though her age is showing, and she is not as state of the art as the newer stadiums, I will miss her.:

Cry? My favorite team is on TV all day, they've been playing well and have a chance to continue into the playoffs, some of my favorite past players will be in the house, the new stadium looks amazing and the Cowboy legacy will continue on in one of the best venues on earth. What is there to cry about? We should be celebrating and hopeful for the future!

If I don't shed a tear or two, I'll be upset with myself, as a young boy I still remember the opening of the NFL pre-game show on CBS when Brett Musburger would say "You are looking live at Texas Stadium" man that always made my day and I still get goose bumps when I think of those times.

What a bunch of little girls, crying over a stupid stadium. We should be ashamed of ourselves. :)

It's not even about being tough... It's just not something to get emotional about IMO.

I know it was the latest and greatest in its day, but it's time for Texas Stadium to be replaced. It has that perpetual leaking sensation on the concourses and the faint smell of beer and urine is too deeply ingrained in the concrete to ever be removed. And I'm more of an open-air, grass-field kind of guy anyway... Though on good weather days, the hole in the roof is awesome.

But to me, this is more exciting than anything, because it means the new stadium will be ready to go on time. And it's going to be absolutely amazing, architecturally as well as in every other way.

Now when they detonate Texas Stadium and it falls into a pile of rubble, that might be kind of sad... But still not tear-worthy.
