Obviously if a player in the draft falls in our laps in the middle of the draft, I am ALL for it, but it seems we could be set at the 1 tech. What you guys think?

1st Choice - Tyrone Crawford - Depends on where coaching staff feels his best fit is in camp, but it seems it is going to be at the 1.

2nd Choice - Josh Brent - I think its getting more and more obvious that Josh Brent is going to make a return at the end of his sentence. The media all seems pretty convinced of it. If he is in decent shape, I think he can be an awesome 1 tech in this scheme. Depends on if he is suspended, and for how long.

3rd Choice - Terrell McClain - Upgrade from Hayden with some upside.

4th Choice - Nick Hayden - Good rotational depth. Not starting quality material, but as a 2nd or 3rd option not bad.

Crawford might be the best DE on this team right now. Brent has a better chance of never playing football again than to be an effective player in 2014. McClain doesn't seem any different from any of the Marinelli Mad Libs players who were signed and released this past year (insert DL here). Hayden might have been the worst starting DT in football last year and should be competing for nothing more than a roster spot.

This really does look like a Campo roster aside from a few offensive players.

In the draft I would be looking at pass rushing 3 techs and ends. 1s aren't diffence makers and guys that don't pan out at the 3 can move to the 1.

Marinelli has said more than once he doesn't see Crawford as a DE.

Otherwise I agree with everything you said.

The more posts I read like this I just hope we tank and have a fire sale. Get rid of everyone and start over. Most likely though we will try to hang on to Romo till he's 40 and half dead with a mediocre team for the next 5 seasons. It just gets worse and worse. What a joke this team is with its owner.

Heh. What does that say about this DL's talent, then?

That Marinelli wants Crawford to play at DT? I think it just says that Marinelli thinks Crawford is better at DT. Then again, I'm not really great at reading between the lines like some of the brilliant minds here.

Crawford- Never played 1 tech in his life. Now going on 3rd position in 3 years

Brent- most likely not playing football in '14. Debatable if he should even be brought back

McClain- can't stick on any other roster, why would he play here?

Hayden- simply not talented enough to play more than a handful of snaps a game

Would any of these guys make the practice squad of contending teams?

How the hell is Hayden getting no love when the dude played the whole year. He might not have been Suh, but he was healthy and battled. Which wasn't the case for the "stars".
