Folks, it seems like Felix Jones is the real deal in silver and blue. The second-year half back has looked great in camp and has played well in both preseason games.

A Dallas Morning News columnist said he's the most exciting player since Tony Dorsett, quite a promising accolade.

Jones provides the Cowboys with a useful weapon on offense because he can catch and run well. He has decent speed and strong hands. If Tony Romo is under pressure, Jones ought to be the first guy he looks for down below from a drop pass. His strength is avoiding tacklers, so take advantage of it.

A healthy Jones will go a long way to getting the Cowboys back into the playoffs and closer to winning one of those precious games.

I always thought Emmitt, Irvin, Novacek, and Aikman were pretty exciting.

Some of us knew last year that the Felix Jones was the real deal.
Others thought Rashard Mendenhall was clearly better.

Who was it that made the comment at the Draft that we already had that kind of RB in Barber? Oh yeah, our OC who doesn't know how to use him.

Dumb luck.

Yes it is ...... but I do get the same feeling (now I was young) that I did whenever Tony got the ball in space.

No kidding.

For those of us from that era TD was, without question, one of the most exciting players of all time.

His bent over at the waist running style, slow glide to the hole, two hands on the football in front of his body (how did he run like that?) and effortless breakaway speed, made Tony Dorsett one of a kind.

A great back and a great Dallas Cowboy!

Love Tony Dorsett!

Do you have a graphic in mind for this situation?

It can't top leaving on a jet plane, but I bet you could do it.

Man, so do I. And I was old enough to remember it like it was yesterday. I don't think anyone exploded like he did once he got through the hole. He was electrifying. If Felix is just half what Tony was he will be a great back.

I just hope he can stay healthy.

We REALLY need him.

He is going to cause all kinds of nightmares for D coords this upcoming season.

If he gets hurt it changes everything. I really believe he makes the difference.

'75 sounds like a good year. I wish Sarge could advise me on things like this. He has a delicate palate for the finer things in life. :p:
