All the pressure is on Dallas and not the Vikings

After Dallas gave up 14 points in the 4th quarter on the road in GB, and have GB lose a few days later at to TENN, made Dallas look more like chumps.

Dallas being favorites over an 8-1 Vikings on the road, brings a LOT of pressure on Dallas.

I see this game as a MUST win, because if Dallas looses two in a row, I can see this team implode.
Don't sleep on Tennessee, they're a decent team. Definitely not an easy win. I'm not looking forward to that game. But what makes us look like chumps was getting beat by an inferior team as far as talent goes in Green Bay. I do agree with your premise, if we lose this game our playoff chances will be out of our control and we'll have to win and get help. If we lose the next 2 then this season may be a wash. So yes, this is a must win for playoff implications and also our team psyche. We'll see what we're made if, if McCarthy is a good coach and if we're as talented as we hope we are in the next 8 days.

Per board at beginning of the season, we had one of the top 3 easiest schedules in the league. When you lose a game you should have won now things have changed.
Dallas has faced the 10th hardest schedule so far. Board consensus was about 8 wins. Other than that you’re right on

All the pressure was on DAL *last* week at GB as well. They put it on themselves, with all the McCarthy homecoming nostalgia, the Rodgers-dominance retrospectives, etc. Instead of approaching the game with the confidence of a superior football team. We all know that Dak doesn't need much to inspire his "deer-in-the-headlights" look, and he was easy to hype into that last Sunday.

Where this is true. But they have back to back games with the giants as well. So if they sweep them that gives the Giants 4 losses not including any other losses. The Giants also still have two games against the Eagles.

I am like you and have been saying since Heineke took over. It’ll be a week 18 winner takes the final wild card spot.

I see us being 6-5 and panic setting in. We will get to 9-5 after that

The wheels could really start coming off if the Cowboys get beat down by Minnesota on Sunday. That would really wreck their confidence. Even a competitive loss is going to cause a majority of the fans and even some in the media to believe the Cowboys annual fade has begun. If the Cowboys don’t win on Sunday, I think it’s going to be a pretty bumpy ride the rest of the season.

This is a bad take in my opinion. The Packers played well against the Cowboys, as they always do and the Cowboys played poorly. It's one game. Every team has a bad day. The Eagles lost to Washington. The Packers played poorly against the Titans and lost. That's how it works.

We can thank the Titans for beating Green Bay because with 7 losses already it means Dallas can finish 11-6 and not worry about the tie breaker with Green Bay for the Wild Card.

GB got up for Dallas emotionally because they were playing their former HC who led them to a SB victory. Then they had an emotional let down.

I see the same outcome this week in Dallas's favor. Vikings had a tough emotional game against one of the SB favorite teams the Bills. They are primed for a let down and Dallas is the more desperate team..Dallas wins.

exactly. Viking lose nothing if they lose this game, we may end up in 4th place in our division and out of the playoff picture, chasing....Dak the stupid called it a playoff game and put more pressure on the team.

They will fall a game back of Philly. They are the two seed with identical records. If they fall behind and continue losing they will lose the 1 seed and a bye. They lose the tiebreaker to Philly and the eagles schedule is cake.

Eh....who knows?
Playing desperate is a double edged sword.
Some teams execute well under pressure, some don't.
I say this cowboys team tends to be the latter.

But they won't be in a worse place than they are now.

On the other hand we are going to end up 7th seed or out of playoff picture . We are playing for survival. They are playing for slightly different seeding.

On this board, no pressure on Dallas.....on Dak......and if Zeke is active.....yep Zeke....you'll be right back in the mix of the Blame Game.

I cannot remember a Green Bay - Dallas game since the 1990s where the Packers play poorly. It seems every game in the Rodgers era the Packers played well when they needed to to overcome Dallas. In the meantime, it feels like the Cowboys always find a way to let Rodgers beat them. I will be glad when he retires.

Have no idea how the Cowboys are favored in this game. They’ve played their best games this season as underdogs, so this is a bad sign. The Cowboys obviously have more pressure on them because they’re currently in third place in their division. This will be their fourth conference loss if they lose on Sunday, which will hurt their wildcard chances. The season could come down to a tiebreaker, and they’re not putting themselves in a position to win any of them. The Cowboys season will very likely be riding on the last two games in week 17 and 18 on the road against Tennessee and Washington. They’re going to have a tough time getting a split in those games. The remaining schedule doesn’t appear to be in the Cowboys favor.

Your reasoning is solid for how a line will open, but by now it's all on the gamblers. It's a point and a half now. Do you remember what the line opened up at? I don't recall.

Go back to Thanksgiving day 2015. Carolina was 10-7 and the Cowboys 3-7. The line opened with Dallas -6. Yeah, not a typo. The reasoning that I heard was because Dallas had yet to lose when Romo played. Gamblers threw a ton on Carolina and the game went off with the line Dallas -1/12. I still don't know how anyone could bet Dallas on that day.

The Vikings thrive on pressure and because of so many close games, they have no quit in them.

They also have that Dangerfield "No Respect' thing going for them, once again with DAL being a 1 point favorite in their stadium.

No QB reflects and embodies his team more than Cousins and he seems to thrive off that as much as they do. "How do you like me now" is still echoing after many years only he's doing it with his team. Tomorrow, that team will be asking "how do you like us now"?

I don’t even pay attention to the point spread. I only brought it up because it was mentioned.

Oh ok, I didn't know. I don't pay attention to them until Wednesday or Thursday when I have some small bets with friends. I only asked just in case you knew. But I'm guessing it had to be 3.
