This. This is closer to a must-win for the Cowboys than the Vikings just by virtue of their records. But I think the Vikings realize they are not the most talented team in the conference, and if they're going to make it to the Super Bowl that bye will be super important, so there's some pressure there.

It certainly doesn’t have the feel to it like we’re favored on this board. Most everyone here seems pretty down about our chances on Sunday after what happened against the Packers. Can’t say I’m feeling real good about our chances. The last time I checked the poll that was started most were picking the Vikings.

So Dallas defense is going to be under even more pressure to keep Vikings run and pass game under control and keep game within reach for the offense. I agree. Going into Minnesota and beating the 1 loss Vikes would say a lot about this team. Losing would do the same.

After Dallas gave up 14 points in the 4th quarter on the road in GB, and have GB lose a few days later at to TENN, made Dallas look more like chumps.

Dallas being favorites over an 8-1 Vikings on the road, brings a LOT of pressure on Dallas.

I see this game as a MUST win, because if Dallas looses two in a row, I can see this team implode.

I don't necessarily agree with this. Had we beaten the Packers we'd be right there with Philly. But nothing has changed. This opportunity can happen again. The division is not out of reach. The Cowboys just have to beat the Vikings. Are we a contender or not? If not, who cares if we get a wildcard spot? Trash is trash, wildcard or not.

A loss today shrinks the Dallas' playoff position to just one game ahead of Washington, who plays at Houston early afternoon. It would also put them two games behind New York, who host Detroit at the same time.
A win puts the Cowboys in position to take back the top wildcard spot on Thursday with the Giants.
With either the 5-4 Seahawks, idle today - or the 5-5 49ers, playing the Cardinals tomorrow night in Mexico City - the Cowboys need to win to keep the small cushion for the 6th seed spot.

The pressure IS on the Cowboys, because:

A)WE want them to win. We don’t care about the Vikings.
B)The media loves/needs the bestselling “Dallas lost” topics. They use the largest fanbase for ratings as much as they can, but there’s a saturation point. They have to be careful not to upset the balance. “Dallas wins” turns off too many viewer$, so they downplay it.
