All Things DEVO!

i love introducing Devo to industrialists fans.
Much like Bowie showing The Velvet Underground fans what Lou Reed sounds like with Queen B*tch, Devo showed NiN fans, Gary Newman fans what industrial pop/rock sounds like YEARS after NiN with a NiN cover

although my all time devo songs are:
  1. satisfaction (possibly the greatest funk riff ever)
  2. come back jonee (look for the tiny desk version)
  3. gut feeling/slap your mammy
  4. baby please baby
  5. beautiful world
i would highly suggest Dink* (another Ohio band) for industrial obscurity, and oddly enough, Marcy Playground (whom i hated because of sex and candy but grew to love years later when i heard their perfect album Shape Shifter (as well as self titled debut album)

*you'll know Dink from their semi 90s hit Green Mind

but you'll stay for The Heroin Song:

and smother yourself in Devolishiss sounding Angels . This is what Devo would sound like right before we fully devolutionized:
