Pantera is definitely one of my favs also.

I would have stopped the Metallica after the Black Album also. They went downhill from there.

And you can not go wrong with EWF.

However I am going to have to get you into a little rock/metal and old blues.

BB has a nice tone but I tell you, to me, the sweetest guitar tone is by Carlos Santana....the best rock guitar tone is the infamous EVH brown sound live tone.

I love Santana also but as you know SRV will always be my favorite

I had the good fortune of meeting SRV shortly before
he died. He was very approachable and friendly,i talked with him for about
an hour before his show. And a great performance of course.
