The Cowboys aren't seeking a Fisher and Oklahoma's Head Coach isn't leaving in mid-season, so switching to the new defensive coach isn't going to solve the offensive problems.

It is going to at best, be a bumpy road for the rest of this season. In the mean time, the fans and media are not going to be silent or uninformed as well.

Vander Esch is now more than a potential. Mix back in at some point, Sean Lee...and the defense continues to grow. Gregory needs to now prove a value or time committed outright to someone such as Taco Charlton. He and Lawrence well could be the immediate face of the defensive line. Waiting to see the ball drop on Irving or his finally owning his own production picture. Things can still improve on the current roster for the defense.

Many questions currently exist on the offense, and some of them can actually be caught up with and improved significantly...we shall see, but with eyes open.

his mistake was to hitch his wagon to Dak when he had the choice of putting Romo back (if its true). Dak is not good and Garrett made him the starter. that's on the coach.
He made the right decision there.
Dak looked like a world beater and ony's back was makng everybody cringe.

------ I without change, suggest that Jason assume play calling

Why would Jerry let that happen and risk having The Clapping Carrot fail? If that happens, then Linehan can't be the scapegoat....thus, buying the village idiot 2019. Jerry needs to pay him all the salary cap money he didn't spend to resign on his own....that way, Jerry doesn't have to admit total defeat. Thoughts???

actually it was a mirage. he had issues even then, but everyone stopped looking or talking about it because of the wins. his footwork and accuracy were not that good then, yeah yeah yeah, people will throw the completion percentage..... everyone talked about him needing to work on his footwork in the off season. playing behind the best OL in the league and probably one of the best ever, dez, witten, zeke, that masks a lot of warts

Garrett will exhaust all scapegoats by years end if they keep losing and they probably will.

Hopefully he doesn't get a chance to scapegoat the defense, but unfortunately, the defense might save him.

He needs to recognize their is a problem first. I get sticking up for your colleagues, but he's the one who is going to be fired first if they don't turn it around and it feels like Linehan is confused about Romo's retiring as I can't help but think that he still thinks it's Romo out there. Romo might be able to do something with our current play calling, Dak can't.

Why would Garrett be responsible?

Did he recieve credit for the success they’ve had with Romo or Daks Rookie season?

Did he recieve credit for the better culture ?

Did he recieve credit for better drafts and personnel decisions ?

But of course this team is on him? Unbelievable!!

You do realize the entire reason Jerry has a HC like Garrett is if we do have success he will recieve his due credit instead of a HC like Jimmy recieving it all.

It truly amazes me some fans still don’t grasp the gravity of our dysfunctional situation. Lol

One thing Jerry doesn't do, is run from the truth. Gamble or blow a call, but he doesn't hide from what he did.

Talk about getting a grasp? Like 'the running mate's' point of view...always, too.

psssst...Jason, much more zone reads that were successful against the Giants.

Are you sure it was Jason that said don't run Dak? I mean he isn't calling the plays and those reads are in the playbook. Not even sure Jason has the power to fire linehan or take back play calling. Not an excuse just suggesting linehan has a bigger role on offense than Garret now.

As stated from the start of the OP... one can't delegate responsibility. Doesn't matter who the 'big man on campus' appears to be...and a zone read, first starts with multiple receivers in a specific area of the field. That demands a response that can quickly be observed by the quarterback. If they bring a defender over, then a mis-direction run or quarterback run becomes available.

Sure they can. You don't make the rules, Jerry does. Jerry hired linehan and forcefully took the play calling duties from Jason. It's linehans job to figure out what plays to run...that's what an OC and play caller does.

oh, for sure, you have studied Jerry for years...and truly understand delegation of authority and how Jerry handles that element, all the way back to Bill Parcells. Run Forrest...run!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Jason the Ivy League educated one in the lot? You imply gutless as well?

Awww someone doesn't agree with your post...don't pout. It's ok.

FYI.. most who have been watching know Jerry used parcels to help build a stadium.

...just stick to real, cheap thrills.

You are close as with napalm or a hand grenade...figure that, stud. Get in the ball park before you label another's efforts. Or simply, find a recruiter and become real for sure...

Jerry built the AT&T stadium through the value of his franchise, and did that when the whole country suffered from a great monetary crisis.

As to your 'effect,' don't flatter your own ego, more...and flipping one's own switch to a Jerry sucks position and then insult, without proving a stance, puts YOU on IGNORE. whoo hoo

You write alot of nonesense. Must be cause you don't have any valid points. It's ok tho the internet is full of people who can't actually express a valid thought so they try an say stupid things like above. Good luck.
