Why can't i sit back and enjoy a Cowboys game without anticipating a penalty of some sort on every forced turnover or KEY 3rd down stop in a big spot? It's unbelievable. I dare anyone to sit there with a straight face saying they didn't expect a penalty of some sort after Winston laid the ball down at the 5 inch yard line. I cant even get excited anymore after what appears to be a big play made. I literally have wait until the refs have spotted the ball for the next play to exhale.

Yep, even on the Dez catch in the GB game during the break, I just knew some obscure rule or something was going to over turn it.

I'm sure the usual suspects will be in here shortly to tell you otherwise, that it's coaching, or jerry or something.

Not only that, it's the third an 15s that kill me. The 3rd and 1s we have a chance. But the 3rd and 15 I know a 20 yard wide open route is coming. Lol

Exactly how I feel. Can't really get excited when I should as the good play is happening. I have to wait for the wonderful officials to make their impact.

I'm most comfortable watching the Cowboys when they're trailing and Romo is running the two-minute drill. I think that says something about the ineptitude of the coaches.

How about knowing that this team would absolutely lose that 3-point lead that they had been nursing for most of the game?

It's now to the point where you can actually SEE the meltdowns coming before they happen.

On a positive note, there have been so many already, by this week I was immune to it and barely reacted at all.

Yep, This team makes it real easy to be cynical about them. If it's 3rd and 9, I am expecting an 8 yard gain. If there's a fumble, I expect it to be reversed. Big play by the Cowboys? First thing I do is look for the little yellow alert to show up on the screen.

The Cowboys must lead the league in negated 3rd down stops due to a defensive holding 30 yards away from the actual play.

I bet you most of the people on this board saw that drive coming from Tampa Bay at the end of the game.
I had already resigned myself to them scoring a TD, so I wasn't too upset.

Agree 100%. It's taken the fun out of the game for me. I never celebrate a touchdown or big play because I have to wait to see if there is a penalty.

I'm more disappointed in the offense. You can't win an NFL game if you can't score more than 10 points, especially when the defense gives you 2 turnovers.

Such is the state of the game these days. The league has gotten so flag-happy that it's really hard to get excited during a game these days. Unlike you, I don't exhale when the ball is spotted, I hold my breath until the ball is actually snapped.

Yep, I fully expected TB to score a TD on that drive.

As far as the game yesterday, yes i agree. 6 points will get you beat 9 times out of 10. You're literally begging the opponent to break your heart with one TD drive.

Been this way for years. When the Cowboys start playing street ball it gets better.

That's how it's been to be a cowboys fan for a long long time now.

3 games in this streak we have scored a total of 24 points. All by Dan Bailey!!

Right there with you. Last year I was able to get a little comfortable. This year has been nauseating.
