Always expecting the worst

This is so true. That's how it goes for us Cowboy fans. I seen someone on Twitter yesterday say "It has to be hard to be a Cowboys fan because of all the different excruciatingly and painful ways they lose games." So true. And it just happens too much. Not just this season, It's every season. You can go back over the last 5 years and the Cardinals game where Bailey makes the field goal but Garrett had called timeout and then he misses. I just knew it was going to happen. And when ever a player is injured on another team the Cowboys NEVER take advantage of it. Matt Flynn brings the Packers all the way back from like 23 points down at halftime. It just is so sickening to watch sometimes. And for being America's Team supposedly, They get hosed a bunch on penalties. But us fans hang in

Why can't i sit back and enjoy a Cowboys game without anticipating a penalty of some sort on every forced turnover or KEY 3rd down stop in a big spot? It's unbelievable. I dare anyone to sit there with a straight face saying they didn't expect a penalty of some sort after Winston laid the ball down at the 5 inch yard line. I cant even get excited anymore after what appears to be a big play made. I literally have wait until the refs have spotted the ball for the next play to exhale.

i prayed the flag and the holding was on them, sadly i knew in reality it was most likely on us. cant catch a break ever. seen this movie too many times.

i always equate the cowboys to the analogy of being in love with a person who always does you wrong and every year you say you wont take them back but every year they arrive at your doorstep and you give them one more chance. then when all of a sudden things seem different like maybe they have changed for good and youre at the alter waiting for them and the music is playing but they are a no show. so you go outside to look for them with all your friends and family and you find them in a porta potty with your bestman or bridesmaid.

Last year the last four games have been the most enjoyable I can remember since the Super Bowl years. Almost felt as if we were coming out of the dark and seeing the sun for the first time in forever. This year it's back in the hole.

An immutable law of football: Bad teams get bad calls at bad times. :(

I don't believe in curses, but if I did, the Cowboys would be a prime example. I've never seen a team shoot themselves in the foot so often while still maintaining this aura that they are just about to turn the corner. It's insane.

Sounds like a poorly coached team, we rely on talent and not discipline. Successful teams have both, we only have one hence why we make so many mistakes.

It proceeds the current head coach, though. In fact, it was probably even worse before Garrett.

How about knowing that this team would absolutely lose that 3-point lead that they had been nursing for most of the game?

It's now to the point where you can actually SEE the meltdowns coming before they happen.

On a positive note, there have been so many already, by this week I was immune to it and barely reacted at all.

This. During the 3rd q I said in one of the posts during the game, it's not a matter of if we're going to lose, but how. It's was going to happen by the way our offense was sputtering, you could just feel the confidence of TB getting stronger. And our will to win weakening throughout the 4th.

It's been this way for years with this team. There is a black cloud over the franchise.

Yep.

Constantly shooting themselves in the foot.

Look at the number of dropped picks this year..............hits 'em right in the numbers.

Bailey missed a FG?

We get in the red zone, 1st and 10..................wait for it.

Curses?

God cursed this team when Jerry fired God's team's coach (Landry). He made Jerry and Jimmy go through a 1-16 season where they were the laughing stock of the NFL. Then the Lord decided that punishment was rather harsh, so he rained down blessings of Lombardy trophies, but then Jerry and Jimmy embraced the dark side, the sin of PRIDE, and mucked it all up.

We've been wandering in the wilderness ever since.

I agree it proceeds the current head coach, and it probably goes much further than the coaches which means the issues might start at the top.

I bet you most of the people on this board saw that drive coming from Tampa Bay at the end of the game.
I had already resigned myself to them scoring a TD, so I wasn't too upset.

Yeah, I knew it was happening...... but when Winston fumbled, I thought we actually got one.....

then i saw the flag , walked out of the room before the next play, told my girl it was over, and I was going to put a ham in the smoker.
