Maybe she didn't know if you brought your own bags?

I'm standing right there in front of her totally bagless.

I do everything with cash, keep a stack of 100 dollar bills ready for use. I have noticed those who do the card swipe thing having problems, what a stupid idea that is. As those behind them have to wait while they figure things out.

I agree, cash is king at the supermarket. I get lunch at a supermarket most days, and even the employees of the store who buy stuff seem to have issues using their cards.

Never carry cash, never have problems.

It's the 21st century.

It takes less time to swipe my card then it does to count your change out and give it to you.

As for the bags, she was probably having a long, bad day dealing with jerk customers.

A simple "Yes please" is all it takes when she asks if you want a bag.

That's probably what he did, but then told us how he felt about the situation. I personally would've been polite...or if I thought she'd take it well, I might've teased her a little...but I might have related the story to others later.

Cash is now Queen....or maybe Jack....going to digital currency very soon and the young ones laugh at the elderly breaking out folding money and their little change purses. :)

In Cali, they always ask because they charge you for them, so most people bring their own. Of course, I always forget to bring mine in :lmao:

They won't be laughing when the coronal mass ejection takes out all the satellites...Whippersnappers!

Don't care what century it is standing in a line as people mess with a card swipe sucks. And you have dealt with as we all have.

Always carry cash only way too go.

When there is OBVIOUSLY way too many stuff for anyone to carry in their hands there is no need to ask about a bag. Yes it is silly, but I was cool about it.

Yes I know all that. I obviously didn't have a bag and it was very obvious I needed one/three, when the only answer has to be,....yes I do....why ask?

I imagine it's possible they legally have to ask, or they can't charge you for the bags.

What if she thought you surgically had a kangaroo pouch put on your body?

That could be it, sounds possible, maybe some company policy like carding 90 year olds at Dollar General, how stupid is that?
