It is a sad thing. I don't think anybody could question that. However, I agree, Bullying has been around since the first guy wearing a loin cloth took the first cave from the guy who was there ahead of him. Today we call it bullying but in years past, they were traits linked to our DNA and played themselves out in our own evolutions. They were survival instincts.
As a society, we have moved further away from the family unit and allowed our children to isolate themselves from their parents or the very few people who love them for no other reason the the fact that they are a part of us. What does that mean? It means that they become vulnerable to people who do not have this love for them. It plays itself out in scenes such as this daily. It's unfortunate but that's how it is now. It takes strong people to survive. A little intelligent thought goes a very long way. Many of these kids, well, they just are not armed with this kind of thing all to often and they pay for it. This may seem callous and I suppose it is but never the less, it's true.
Very unfortunate indeed.
