Got a third for him years after Dallas let him go for a fifth.

"Unique Advantages" to having Jerry be GM for life.
Hey don’t underestimate the boy genius. We traded our 4th for a backup to the backup qb in Lance.

true but it doesnt change the fact the GM/Owner mad a bad desicion on a hasty trade because that player publicly pissed him off.
Don’t disagree. We’re a A- drafting team (McClay), but a D- with FA and trades (jones).

  • We pay the wrong homegrown players.
  • We wait too long to pay the right homegrown players.
  • When we do decide to cut ties, we wait too late and never get higher value than a low comp pick.
  • We only sign over the hill FAs or JAGs for scraps.
  • When we trade for talent, it’s for a player of the same caliber that could be found in FA during the offseason.

The only exception to this rule is the acquisition of Amari cooper, and we squandered that later.

Amari is a free agent next year. He'll sign a decent deal and net the Bills (if they don't re-sign him) a something like a 5th - 7th round compensation pick.

Browns wanted to get rid of the salary and not wait. Cooper has more value as a pending FA with no looming dead money to a team because of that.

Also, the Browns took on about 20 mill in a guaranteed contract for Amari. Cleveland restructured Amari's final year ... the Bills are paying close to a minimum salary on him for the rest of the year.

Does that explain things to you?

Too much info?

Tl;dr -- the Browns took on 20 mill in guaranteed money. The Bills took on like $500,000. Not about the player.

fish said cleveland ate most of this years salary to trade him, so he is cheap to the bills, and only cost them the draft pick.
Dallas could have got him for like 1 mil and the pick.
use him for 1 year then let him walk.

My question is why did the Browns want to trade him away? He's been productive for them. Is he a head case and that is why he finds himself on his 4th team in his career?

Lions, Vikings, San Fran, Chiefs all have a legit chance at a SB. Bills are a flawed team and certainly not a Amari Cooper away from winning a SB but when they win the SB I’ll eat crow and admit you were right.
Vikings lmao. What makes those teams SB contenders and not the Bills!?

How the hell are you gonna sit here and tell me what was or wasn’t my conversation with somebody?

What type of gaslighting nonsense is this?

Were you there? Were you involved in our conversation? No? Then shut the hell up.

I also never said Amari was traded due to Dak. Now you’re just putting words in my mouth. So again, shut the hell up.
yeah that was an odd post. the reason for trading him doesn't even matter in the context of what you're talking about lol
