Amari Rogers TD catch

I noticed on that play KJ was lined up opposite Rodgers on the right side of the Texans formation then as the ball is snapped KJ seems to go in another direction as Rogers with good speed streaks down the sideline with only Donovan Wilson the safety in pursuit . What happened to the corner coverage ? Someone like XWalker some others on this board will know exactly why the receiver is left to a safety the entire play .

On a side note Rodgers and Phillip Dorsett opposite him and obviously Pierce carrying the running load not exactly like empty shelves at Wal Mart not sure why the Texans can’t seem to have much success on offense other then musical QB’s means they have no QB.

KJ picked up coverage on another receiver.

Everybody appeared to cover correctly. Wilson just didn't make the play.

They don't have success because they don't play the Cowboys every week. The entire league saves their best game for us, including the good teams.

I saw that second Cowboy come into view after the catch and caught a # 2 on Jersey it might have been Bland didn’t see whole number bad TV angle . Terrible coverage .

Wilson had Rodgers in man coverage because he came in motion. Hooker came over late. But KJ took the inside receiver

Nolan liked doing that with Wilson, 4.6 safety covering 4.4 WR

If we had some real speed at FS like an Anthony Brown or a Kendall Sheffield that would make a world of difference on those type of plays.

really, you never seen a LB or S have to cover in space 1-1, maybe stop watching highlights and catching bits of games, happens on many plays.? not sure the play you are talking about but i saw 2 covering on one of those and both jumped too early on a TD catch..

me as well maybe Bland and Wilson both jumped too soon.. are fans going to contiue to post plays or individuals they believe may have led to our poor showing. its was poor Team performance and we won.

they were both there at the catch and both simply jumped too early. Wrs tend to win most of those all over the NFL its why they are WRs not DBs, much better balls skills.

It was. Rodgers ran a wheel and was a decoy. The TE was the main read on the route. He just happened to make a play with Driskel scrambling
