I find it difficult to believe this tweet wasn't mostly in humor. Brown has shown up this season, but he's feeding on table scraps, not feasting on the main course.

We need guys like him, and he's doing a bang up job. Let's leave it at that.

I like all the cowboy players and on a separate note when money is in the line like this week, I’m benching Elliott and starting Brown. If Brown stays health he’s making 100m. If I were him, get rausenhause or whatever his name is and get a deal done now.
Benching the #1 RB to start the #2 WR? ... Interesting strategy.

Nevermind, I'm guessing your FF gives you only one guy from each team or something.

Is there a FF Zone?

We are all grateful for how he is playing and making the plays he needs to. But there is a reason he hasn't disappeared in a big game. He's a backup and hasn't even played in one.

Plenty of wrs have had some runs of good games. Is this due to Noah growing and developing or a backup QB having chemistry with another backup? Maybe both. There's no reason to need to crap on amari who is levels above Noah.

Call me when noah has achieved what amari has at the end of even one season.

I have to respectfully disagree with you. Every game a backup gets to start in or play significant minutes is a big game to THEM because they are playing on a short leash and are one or two mistakes away from being thrown back in the shuffle or special teams.

If Amari drops 4 passes in a game, he's starting next week. If Noah drops 4 passes in that same game, he may be released the following day or sent to the practice squad.

Now back to Amari.... he's pretty good no question, but he's not great.

If he was a great receiver, he wouldn't be playing on his 3rd team in less than 10 years.....

Noah is filling the Cedrick Wilson role. Hope he earns himself a nice contract. He’s easily replaceable though.

I wanted Dallas to give Noah Brown a chance to start before they even traded for Amari. So he's always been a good player in my book, he just needed to play to prove it. Some are saying he's not receiving the attention of a number one, that's true but...teams do play cover two. The Tampa two, as it's often refered to, is designed to doubles both outside WR's. Now who on here can prove Lamb is receiving a lot of attention on every play? Every play? Every play? Every play? I guarantee you no one here has proof of that, because I guarantee you it's not happening every play.

The Cowboys messed up when they didn't sign this guy to a long term deal.

that's a super interesting take. the definition of big game or big moment varies by the person and the goal posts change especially when it comes to the media. i'll wait for noah to come up big in a game that means something before i give him any credit and take from amari but to each his own. amari changed the wr corp instantly when he got here.

amari is being paid like a good wr not a great one. is he an elite guy like devante or kupp, no but he's closer to those guys with his elite route running than most can say. his contract right now is in line with what others around him make and what you would expect from him. he's tied for 12th aav. moving on from him was more about jerry's ego and personal feelings than it was about his play and production vs his contract imo.

I liked Amari. I really did. He came in and saved an entire season. His route running is something every receiver should study. The downside to Amari is that he absolutely disappeared some times.

As far as I'm concerned, the only tie between the two is that Noah gets more opportunities with Amari gone. I'm very happy with Noah's performance so far. He's taking advantage of the opportunities he's getting. I think he's been better than most people thought he would be.

Beyond the stat comparison looking pretty good, I don't think it offers any real insight at this point.

Cooper is better than Brown, doubt anyone would say any thing different. Brown is doing his job and making the plays along with Cooper. Put Gallup in to the mix and Cowboys should have a good WR core. As far as I'm concerned Cooper is gone and my focus is on players on this team going out and making plays

I know it's only been 3 games ... but can't argue with the production right?
Nice surprise I suppose

Cooper's cap hit this season, due to a restructured deal, is less than $5M.

This is so dumb. Who thinks teams actually game plan for Noah? Smh

I admitted being wrong about him but now it's getting ridiculous

Ditto here

But with the recent wins, apparently it's gonna be such overreaction and odd comparisons, from Cooper Rush vs Dak... to Noah Brown vs Amari Cooper

...what's next ? .. Peyton Hendershot vs Travis Kelcie ? :muttley:

and 23 million over the next 2 seasons.

Yes, with $15M dead money next season so he could be released/traded with a $8M cap savings in 2023 or a $16M+ savings if designated a post June 1st release. The point is he will probably never see that money.

It's hard not to love Noah Brown at this point. He's been doing dirty work forever, now he's flashing in the receiving game.

If ever a player earned the opportunity...

Every opponent we play with Brown in the line up game plans for him.
Dumb is suggesting an NFL team we play is like: "Naw, we can skip this one."

People game plan for Cooper, no one game plans for Brown. If he keeps playing the way he is, then they will start and we can get a better comparison. Regardless he is really showing up and will be a wanted player in the league for sure.

So the object is to keep him 1 year then ditch him? Meanwhile Dallas was over the cap and had to unload some players just to get under it, they also did some restructuring. Todays NFL you can't keep everyone, someone has to go. I think it was a mistake not getting much in return but I understood the reason why they traded him.

It's impossible to rate receivers playing with dak versus rush.

Desean Watson will count $53.9M against the Browns 2023 salary cap and Myles Garrett will count $29.1M....they may need all the room they can get to fit those contracts under the cap and Cooper may just be a 1-year and done player, especially if they can get a 5th round draft pick for him from another team thereby squaring their deal with Dallas.
