No he doesn't. He makes some contested catches, sure, but lots of guys in college do that.

He'll never be able to get separation because he isn't explosive enough.

So he can make contested catches, he makes phenomenal catches often even when a CB is on his hip, so exactly what here is the argument? "A lot of players do it" - A lot of players make contested catches in the NFL....

First off, he gets separation, I provided links to a few games you can watch on Draft Breakdown. Will he consistently get separation on post routes? No. Neither does Dez, Jeffrey, or even Green. These are guys in the 4.5 range going up against corners normally at 4.4 or even at times 4.3 with a lot of straight line speed. But again, he's capable of making contested catches.

It's okay to not like a college player, I just don't think you're putting the criticisms together well. "He's older, so his senior year doesn't count" - I mean come on, man. He was a small school guy and this is his first year going up against real competition and he's having a hell of year. That could be a criticism for him, only one big year of production. But then again, Kelvin Benjamin was the same.

I don't care if he makes contested catches against Colgate...contested and "phenomenal" aren't the same. The only separation he gets is, in large part, because they play a shotgun spread and throw the ball 55 times a game. When you're in man coverage all the time, eventually you're going to get open.

I watched every Cuse game this year, I like Etta-Towu. But he just doesn't have the athleticism to be a good NFL player. Maybe if his route running drastically improves in the next year or two he can stick around for a bit, but he'll never be more than a bottom of the roster guy.

I'm not saying his senior year doesn't count. I'm saying that when your so much more physically mature than a lot of guys you're going against, you're not going to have that advantage in the NFL. It's the same for really any player who doesn't do anything until their senior year. Carl Nassib, last year, is a good example of that.

So he gets open, makes contested catches, and has the speed of many 6'2/3 WRs. Thank you for confirming this. Moving on.

"I like Etta-Towu"

Cool

"But he doesn't have the athleticism to be a good NFL player"

Provide evidence for this, all his expected combine numbers say otherwise. Film shows otherwise as well, and stuff you confirmed. You tried to throw this away with "Well, he's older" and "Well, they throw a lot though"

"I'm not saying his senior year doesn't count"

That's exactly what you're saying. Your babble here of "He's like 23, so he obviously has an advantage" is absolutely ridiculous talk.

Many players in their senior year (Many are his age coming out) are only a year younger. He's playing like he's more "physically mature" and dominating the competition...like he is NFL ready. This is what college seniors are supposed to do. I just think you're using some really, really poor criticisms here when there are some real ones to be directed at him.

He's not dominating anybody. Idk what player you're watching. He's not even the only guy on Cuse with 90+ catches.

Is Roger Lewis going to be a good NFL player? He had a better YPC and more TDs in 2015 under Babers.

Dude, make your exit from my thread if you're going to bring this weak argument here. Please, for your own sake.

Etta-Tawo - 94 catches, 1,482 yards, 15.77 YPC, 14 TDs
Evan Phillips - 90 catches, 822 yards, 9.13 YPC, 6 TDs

Who is doing more with those catches?

I don't know if you have some personal bias here, but I'm simply just not impressed with your counters at all. They've been intellectually lazy.

Actually, no, it's not. I didn't just post a "40 time" or "highlight", I posted full games with him. There are also other full games floating around of his game I watched.

The least you could have done is actually, you know, read the original post here.

The OP is a highlight film, I didn't read the link.

The more I see of him, the more and more I'm loving. I know a lot here are on the "We need speeeeeed!" train, but this draft doesn't look to have a clear cut speedster in the early rounds. /

Heard of a guy named John Ross WR U of Wash? 4.25 40 and probably will go top 20.

Right now, Amba is projected around the third, BUT there is absolutely no way this guy is going after the second. I just can't see it. I have a feeling after the senior bowl and combine, he'll shoot up to late first.

If he's there, I understand we have defensive needs, he'd need to be our guy. Great hands, you can put the ball anywhere near him and he'll get one or two hands on it and it'll most likely be a catch so he doesn't need complete separation. He's in the Bryant and Jeffrey mold as a WR. I love his fight for extra yards.

Here is his draft breakdown profile so you can see some full game clips of him - http://draftbreakdown.com/video/amba-etta-tawo-vs-louisville-2016/

Reminds me of Vince Mayle college game footage.
