Per usual, we are going to get the cookie cutter-dime a dozen winner instead of two distinctly different singers.
Sonika(Persian pop-star) and Tristan(African American female country singer) had a different vibe and I thought they were unique in today's industry

i guess to the voting public, which seems to consist of moms & their bratty tween daughters(not all tween girls are brats so don't get mad at me), those two were not unique even though i agree with you on them.

I love Trent and I think he can go real far in the business. He's soul, country, blues, pop with a hint of rock. I loved Sonika from the beginning but she got a little boring imo. Remember that the core audience who votes just doesn't vote for singing ability. La'Porsha not only has an amazing voice but she has personality too. Same with Trent and while Dalton has a good but not great voice he appeals to the core voters (young girls) and is a really good performer.

To make it to the top 4 of American Idol and the top 12 (don't remember how far he made it) of The Voice is a great feat. No one else can say that.

that's very true. as for when mackenzie was on the voice, he actually made the top 20 on season 3.
