Signing TO is a Jerry Jones move through and through. If Campo were still coach I would bet my Roy Williams jersey that it was a 100% certainty.

With Bill here it becomes 50/50. Bill hates distractions and non-team players who don't 'get-it'. But he has proven that he will put up with an awful lot for guy who give it up on the field, and T.O. isn't nearly as bad as say, Moss, as far as taking plays off or not playing hard.

My gut says it won't happen. All of the other times Bill has taken on head cases (Key, Cox, etc) he has had a history and/or knowledge of the player. I don't think he knows TO well enough to take the chance.

I am not going to argue TO's merits or lack thereof. I will not buy any Cowboys products or tickets or anything else that will contribute to the finances of the team should TO be signed by the Dallas Cowboys. And I would not do so for as long as he is on the team (or being paid by the team while told to stay away from the facilities for causing too many problems). They will still be my team and I will cheer them on (except for TO...I'll NEVER cheer for him) but if he were on the team I would not buy nor wear their apparel etc. until he is gone. As you may guess I feel quite strongly about this.

It is a small thing because my contributions are not going to be missed by the organization. But if enough other people felt the same way Jerry would feel it in his pocketbook....and he would deserve it for bringing that POS here. The Cowboys would become the laughing stock of the NFL as soon as that idiot blows up in our faces just as the Eagles are the laughing stock of the league now. No thank you, I want no part of him here and neither should Jerry Jones.

NO TO!!!

Hold onto this thread. I've got a feeling we will be revisiting this one.

I've got no problem with it. I have faith the braintrust could make something work that would not hamstring the club long term. Otherwise, I don't see a deal.

When will Dallas fans grow up? your not scaring Jerry Jones by acting like a child
threating to take your ball and go home, if T.O. comes and plays in Dallas next
season, the fact is Jerry Jones doesn't care what you think

this is about business and in business you do what ever you have to in order
to topple the compeition, signing Owens in the mind of Jones/Parcells would
crush lingering doubts about the Cowboys Quest to topple the competition
by winning the super bowl

so you can sign your petitions make threats that mean nothing but T.O
will be wearing a Cowboys uniform if Jerry and Bill have it their way

Listen, listen, listen. If Jerry Jones signs T.O., he will lose such a big part of his fan base, the business will lose money, a large chunk of money. It is a bad business decision to sign T.O. Fans, DIEHARD fans will walk away. I am one of these DIEHARD that will walk if T.O. is on our roster. PERIOD.

I couldn't do that.

I wish you luck if you end up having to do it. I hope you don't.

I agree.
I hate TO, but I am never leaving the Boys.

I have lived through enough nonsense to stomache that if it comes to it.

We've had players I've disliked before. I can do it again.

Just my opinion but Nathan is giving TO too much power if he's saying he can drive him away.

Take power away from him, don't give it to him.

Well I hate to burst that bubble but he doesn't care what we think..I've wrote
to Jerry several times blasting him for not taking Moss in the 98 draft, I am
sure he reads what we write to him about

but Jerry will do what is right for the Dallas Cowboys and not the fans, that's
business..and nothing we say or threaten to do will change the mind of JJ
or Bill Parcells

Owens is a very talented reciever with some issues, this is a area that Bill
Parcells is very well suited to handle..and I'm sure Bill realises that Owens
is no differnt then Glenn, Keyshawn or LT

so i can see Dallas taking a chance on signing him plus Owens is looking
to screw the Eagles even worse, what better way to screw your former
team then sign with their biggest division foes?

I seriously think T.O. wears a star on his uniform next season, Price is out
Keyshawn (if they are not able to work on his contract) is out and so now
we need a #1 reciever

Owens is available lets sign him to a contract and this IMO is what Jerry Jones
as well as Bill Parcells are thinking..and I think it happens and so does Jerry
and so don't Parcells

but they won't tell you that out in public shhhhhh!

If Jerry signs T.O. he won't lose any money, cause Dallas fans are still going to
go to the games, they're still gonna buy appearal with the Cowboys logo on it
Jerry knows this, cheap threats are all they are, and if a few wagon jumpers
decide I'll be a fan of some other team next year

It won't hurt Jerry any, cause the seats next season just like this year will
be sold out for games..so not sure how you came up with Jerry will lose
money, but I'll guarentee you Dallas fans will all ways show their true
support for the team and not just 1 player

Anyone who makes this claim is grandstanding or not a true fan. I don't like TO either, but I don't care if we sign Cookie from Bozo the Clown to play Wideout, I'd still root for the Cowboys.

I can never call someone not a true fan.

I do think this is a Don Quixote move that won't help.

It's sort of like all those actors and actresses who said they'd move out of the country if W won the presidency. Seen any of them actually leave yet?
