please please, do not call yourself a diehard fan if you will walk away from the boys if they sign T.O., you sound more like bandwagon chumps. I for one do not like or want T.O., but I will never turn by back on my beloved COWBOYS

I hate TO, but I am never leaving the Boys.

I have lived through enough nonsense to stomache that if it comes to it.

Don't get me wrong, I won't be leaving the Cowboys and start rooting for some other team.
That's impossible. It's Cowboys or nothing for me. So, hey, I'll have to take a few years off from even watching the Cowboys and the NFL, something I really don't want to have to do. I enjoy watching the Cowboys, please Jerry don't ruin it for me!

Listen, listen, listen. If Jerry Jones signs T.O., he will lose such a big part of his fan base, the business will lose money, a large chunk of money. It is a bad business decision to sign T.O. Fans, DIEHARD fans will walk away. I am one of these DIEHARD that will walk if T.O. is on our roster. PERIOD.

I dont want TO here in the least, but I will be as big a Cowboy fan with him as I am without him. It is not about TO. Players come and go, but the Star remains.

I never was a big fan of Keyshawn or Deion, but when they put on the Silver and Blue I cheer for them. Same with TO, may not like him, but once it is a done deal there is nothing left to do but hope that he does well in the Dallas uniform.

Let me add this Nathan if the die hards walk away they were never die hard to begin
with! I'll never leave the Cowboys I am as die hard today..as I was when I first
started watching them..and I don't care who the Cowboys sign

If it helps them to win a championship then I don't care who that player is
your wearing that star now and that's all that matters to me. so don't
say don't ruin it for me

cause you all ready ruined it for your self cause everyone is gonna be
cheering when he scores, and the only 1 missing out on the fun is
YOU

Part of it is, I could not bear to watch T.O. tear our team apart. He absolutely would, not to mention that his time in Dallas would ruin the star. He ran to the middle of the field to disgrace the star in front of 55,000+ fans, why do you think this headcase would suddenly want to, or should ever be given the chance to, wear it in honor.

Even I am a bit suprised at my own intensity of not having this individual on our team, but there's something VERY wrong about it!

Like I said man, you're giving him (TO) too much power by saying that.

I dislike the man. I don't want him anywhere near this team, but he has no power over me. He can't drive me away. He can't make me root for them less. he can't make me not watch. He can't make me like him either.

When I was 16 this man at our church offended me because I had long hair. I left and wasn't going to go back even though I knew in my heart that I enjoyed being there and belonging. But he offended me and I felt he was a hypocrite. A man I respected a lot gave me somethign to think about when he and I discussed this. he said, "if you'd let a hypocrite stand between you and God you're admitting he's closer than you are."

Apply that same advice here. If you'd let TO stand between you and your love for the Cowboys you're admitting he's got more power than you do in this situation.

I'm with you on not wanting that jerk on this team. But I won't let that jerk ruin my love of the team. I won't give him that.

I see your point, Hostile, I don't want this thing to happen, and I seriously doubt if I would enjoy the games anymore. That is an awesome line about the hypocrite, though. Very good.

You only assume he would tear the team apart..w/o looking at that Bill
and Jerry would never let him tear the team apart, Jerry and Bill will
make sure Owens understands

that he is here to play and not shoot his mouth off, the first time he
shoots it off..Owens is out, so i wouldn't worry bout Owens doing
anything but what Parcells tells him to do

Go ahead and send your e-mails to Mickey or polls to Jerry. If Parcells and Jones want T.O. they do not care what you think. I am sure Jerry is laughing his a** off at these people who say no way to T.O. and how they wont be Cowboy fans anymore. He has to be laughing. Laughing cuz he knows that after T.O. gets his 2nd or 3rd TD catches those hatin on T.O. will be lovin him and somehow want to be Cowboy fans again.

If BP and JJ think T.O. is the key to winning us #6 no polls you send or emails you send will stop them from bringing T.O. here if they can get him.

Oh and in case BP or JJ should read this thread...........

You wouldn't see anything but the trash thrown on the field by the trash in the stands if that happened in Philthy.

Look, I don't want Owens anywhere near this team. But the fact of the matter is if he's acquired there will be initial backlash but after a few games everything will settle down and the fans will still be fans. Jerry ain't losing money over a mere personnel decision- bank on it. He's a smart man. He was smart enough to bring Parcells here after swallowing his pride and realizing that the real reason this team won Super Bowls under his ownership was when they had a dominant personality as coach (Jimmy); not when Jerry himself was the dominant figure. I think he gets it now as an owner. I guess we'll see for sure when Bill is gone. Having said all that, I in no way support bringing Owens here. The guy is a franchise and coach killer. Even though I know Parcells would drop the hammer down from day one if he was to be acquired it still would hurt this team after Bill leaves when the antics would start. I can't root for Owens but I will always be a Cowboys fan. I'll (and I'm sure many others) will just do what I did when Deion Sanders was here, root for the team and pay no attention to the B.S that goes with the player. Although in this case, there's 10 times more B.S. associated with Owens than there ever was with Deion. Owens makes Deion look like a choirboy.

Excellent assessment. I'm not sure Jerry understands how badly people do not want Owens on the Cowboys.

One more thing... Not putting up some protest to T.O. would be akin to trading away Randy White for Bill Romanowski, although on a much larger scale!! There's NEVER been a punk in the NFL like T.O.

I'm drawing a line in the sand, let Jerry know having T.O. on our team is not acceptable!! That's all I'm saying.

You think Philly fans would sit there complacently staring at Owens like that? Where's the flying batteries, beers, small animals? Seriously though, if Owens enjoys life... he might want to do that in a different city.

I'm sure Bill Parcells will welcome the fans' input on whether T.O. should come to Dallas IF he ever became available.

I'm sure he'll have Rich Dalrymple run a poll or something to help him make his decision.

Jerrah Jones did sound eagerly excited when discussing TO s future during monday night football a few weeks back.

Parcells also has been careful not to discard the possibility of signing the best WR and the biggest jerk in the league.

On paper we would be better but if this becomes reality TV the team and fans will lose out-

I would say if Bill and Jerrah are comfortable signing him then I will cede to them- the deal must be incentive heavy, signing bonus minimal to avoid this type of situation in the future.

TO , Key ,Glenn and Clayton would be the best wr corp in the league
